Fitzhugh Fella Posted 10 November, 2009 Share Posted 10 November, 2009 Now we have all had our official letter telling us our shares are worthless I was wondering if any on here had lost that much that they were unhappy with the outcome? Me.... I lost £50, but I have gladly settled for that to be where we are today from where we were a year ago or even 3 years ago. Any ex-shareholders unhappy? It must be a unique occurrance that a company goes bust and the shareholders are all smiles?

Dear Mr. Lowe, Further to my appointment as joint administrator of the Company on 2 April 2009. Unfortunately, there are insufficient assets in this matter to enable any distribution to you. Claims to this affect are a waste of time. Keep in mind that this decision is final. You should contact Alex Stirling of the Begbies Traynor Office if you require any further information. Unfortunately, I will not be available to discuss this with you personally. Yours faithfully, for and on behalf of Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC. Never expected to make any money but it was nice to think i owned a blade of grass . Guess you should stick to poker then Champ. Like others I "lost" a few quid, less than 30 quid in my case, but that is nothing compared to the feeling of joy knowing that Lowe was well and truly shafted, just desserts for all (or at least most) of what he did to SFC. I have a lot of sympathy for others who lost significant amounts, except Wilde, but to be honest buying shares in a football club should never be about making money. My "investment" was purely so I could attend AGM/EGMs and help to get rid of the idiots who were ruining the Club. Sadly I never got to exercise my right to attend, mores the pity. By the way, I haven't received a letter yet, now the surprise has been spoiled LOL I did receive a communication from my Broker back in about May warning me of this though, although by then I had worked that out for myself. Do you honestly expect him to sit there signing every letter? 3) If he did personally sign every letter to all the shareholders then people would be screeching away on here about how he was milking it and trying to keep the clock running. 4) If you require any further information, I suggest you have no hesitation in contacting Alex Sterling of that office. I am genuinely intrigued. Do you think Fry owes you an apology? I just don't understand why some people on here are determined to slag him off. The facts that are not commercially sensitive are already in the public domain: Markus Liebherr's company AD235944 Ltd (or something like that) acquired the assets of SLH PLC for a price acceptable to a majority (in value) of the creditors. No point going over that again. I suppose he could have put something about Pardew doing a good job or being partial to a Toblerone. Heck, he could have signed it off with a nice big COYR! I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just don't get the enmity towards him. Losing money really hurts, obviously, but that's nothing to do with Fry. MorningtonCrescent Posted 10 November, 2009 Share Posted 10 November, 2009 one last attempt benjii....... then that's it... People have lost money, they knew they would as soon as SLH went into admin. They still hav good reason to be hacked off by Fry because he has taken an award for doing such a great job in "rescuing" Saints, whilst taking over 3 months to write to the shareholders to confirm what we all expected. So, why take so long to write? Why use poorly photocopied letters, when surely the least people deserve when being told they have lost their investment is a properly produced letter? The wording is fine, if a little abrupt, but maybe could've been a bit more detailed... it costs nothing more to write a few extra lines on an A4 sheet. Either way, it seems a little curious that as soon as the award is announced and people ask what has happened to the shares, letters start to drop on the mat! As for the conspiracy theories of "he nearly lost us Liebherr by backing Pinnacle" etc.... that's quite ridiculous too. For all we know, he may have actually "lost" a far better option than Liebherr during this time - one we never find out about! "What ifs" are never productive, especially when based on hearsay and gossip. As I said earlier - time to move on......... (btw - are YOU Mark Fry, Benjii? You seems very keen to jump to his defence!)
