another Saints record has been broken..

after all our managerial changes under the previous chairmanship of " that fellow whose name we don't mention "..it seems that one of his enviable records has been broken.

PAUL HART, one-time manager of "that other club we don't mention" has been sacked from QPR ...after only 5 games. (1win) Seriously challenging the record of Brian Cloughs 44 days at Leeds, and Paul Sturrocks short stay at Saints.

Hart was the NINTH, I say again.. 9th. manager since their chairman took over in 2007.

It puts a whole new meaning to the title .." Manager of the month," I think.

Congratulations to QPR on another record-breaking achievement, and one we are only too pleased to relinquish.

Souey, Jones, Hoddle, Gray, WGS, Sturrock, Wigley, Redknapp, Burley, Pearson, Poortaloo, WTF.

That's 12 managers under Lowe if I'm not mistaken (not including brief stints in charge from Wise and Wigley the first time). So he's had more managers, but not quite in the same time scale.

Bad appointment in the first place, at least they had the sense to ship the guy out straight way, even if it meant paying him off.QPR appoint bad managers every time. They should get a head hunting agency on to the job

next time.

as you say it's not the same time scale. the first 5 you mentioned were over a period of 7 years, after which the next 7 in 5 years.

The QPR chairman has dumped 9 ...since Aug 2007, so give the guy credit for a great effort, and a job well-done.

Now he has to complete the second part of the competition..namely try to get QPR relegated by May. Good Luck Sir!

Sounds like they are managing quite well, so far.

Many clubs have portraits painted of their former managers/chairmen.

QPR 's trophy cabinet is nearly full with the heads of their former staff.

Seriously though just why are they tarting about with blokes like Magilton and Hart? If they have the ambition that they seem to have then they should go for

a manager with really proven credentials, like Coppell or Curbishley.

Just really can't understand their cheapskate attitude.

I thought he did alright with that lot down the road given what he had to put up with and considering he was only ever brought in to sort out their academy.

No he did very averagely with some excellent players. Adams was dump but he had a good side, Hart did about the minimum possible with it. His management career is pretty average (even tending to woeful). He may be OK with youth sides but it's pretty obvious he's no master of seasoned pros. I am really surprised that QPR rushed into appointing him after summarily dismissing Magilton

who was no prize catch either.

With the amount of compensation they have to pay perhaps this means they have to adopt a cheapskate attitude

but I agree with your point.

Relatives are QPR supporters and just do not understand QPR's approach in the least

Jeez - I don't think it will ever cease to amaze me at what a total shambles that managerial appointment record that is! No wonder we plummeted.

Magilton got the boot because he had a row with Buzsacky and Hart has apparently gone because of a row with Adel Taraabt.......too much player power around, bunch of whingeing bastards.

They need to get the next appointment right but I doubt they will, they've got the cash but the people at the top have no sense at all when it comes to football, they've just turned them into a laughing stock.

To be fair, Pearson was not appointed by Lowe, though he did of course terminate his appointment. Just another **** up in his extensive catalogue of mismanagement.

Apparently the record is Leroy Rosenior? It even made Have I Got News For You ;)

from his wikipedia page

"Rosenior returned to Torquay United as head coach on 17 May 2007, replacing Keith Curle[6] but was reportedly sacked after 10 minutes, which gave him the record of the shortest managerial reign in the history of English football. This was because at the same time Torquay were bought by a local consortium who installed Colin Lee as Chief Executive, Lee then appointed former Gulls player and Exeter City assistant manager Paul Buckle as manager.[7]"

He's just p*ssed off that three billygoats gruff keep walking over his bridge.

Yes, I am angry. Angry because a small minority of mouthy fans helped usher in a League 1 clown for our manager instead of a proven England and ex Saint manager and set us off on the road to five years of misery !

well spotted that man, but of course he didn't ACTUALLY pick a team and manage the defeats that led to his own downfall. That's a big criteria for sacking a manager - isn't it ?
