Lets all laugh at Newcastle

That is funny - hardly the most progressive move and pretty much makes Pardew's position untenable doesn't it? Maybe that's the idea though.

It does seem a very odd decision, unless it was a move to unsettle a manager on a very long contract.

Exactly - this is how to undermine a manager and Kinnear is stupid if he doesn't know it. Getting the right players in hasn't been their problem...

Well it was madness to give anyone an 8 year contract, so I guess you are right and that this is the cheaper option.

Apparently I heard on fox sports there is a clause in the contract which states if sacked he only gets a pay out for 2 years.

Not sure of the point of the contract being 8 years if true.

Just heard him ranting on talksport, I mean its cool he speaks honestly instead of the normal carefully prepared press speak, but god does he come across a toosser!

Also him going on about how he can offer a lot and can talk to any manager in the league, I mean okay I seriously doubt he's got MP's number. I very much doubt also he doesn't know who joe kinear is!

Maybe Mike Ashley's plan is to get under Pardews skin - massively undermining him and getting Pardews to resign so he doesn't have to pay out the agreement. Obviously playing Devils advocate, but wide boy Kinnear would be well up for an undermining task for 1/4 of the value of the severance package that Pardew will be on ;-)

Caught the last five mins of the interview on talk sport, the bloke sounded half cut to me. The pronunciation of some of the players was hilarious, Ben Afria , amelobia or amemobia or some such. If I was Newcastle fan listening to that I'd be very worried. The bloke sounded a right delusional tool. I can open any door to any manager in the world LOL.

Then he slagged of the fans calling them idiots.

Is there any indication from anyone else at Newcastle that this is actually true, as there is still nothing on thier OS.

Or are we witnessing another David Icke style public melt down here?

He is basically just another Redknapp isn't he? Out-of-date, but thinks he knows it all, and quite happy to lash out at everyone else. Will make the coming weeks more interesting until we sign some more players and get into pre-season!

They were saying on Talksport that if there was nothing in it and that he was making it up, Newcastle would have squashed the story quick smart. As they haven't, this might well be true.

Interesting bit of support from Steven Taylor (if this is true, but it is the Mail who do embellish things on occaisons!)

Has it been confirmed anywhere?

I have a horrible feeling Newcastle have nothing to do with it and it's just a man losing his marbles.

Thais seems to be doing the rounds now - story that Newcastle/Pardew dont want to say anything for fear of destroying the bloke

Edit. Nope, they have confirmed it - blimey

I think that any notion of us being football's biggest laughing stock during the NA sacking was premature :D

The Guardian referred to his interview as shambolic, pointing out the inconsistencies. I call him a liar.

I do hope we have more of this - sheer footballing genius. (I wish I could quote some of it, but all you'd see is **** *** **** *** *********!!)

Absolutely brilliant! This whole Kinnear episode is bubbling up superbly! Will he produce a press conference as funny as that one again? Will Pardew hang around just for giggles? Will kebab ever play again? Will they manage to find a world class striker to play for them? Will JK manage to get a daily slot with Ferguson? So many questions!
