That second goal was just ridiculous. He even moved his hand OUT OF THE WAY to let the ball past him.

Still had people on here defending him after the game.

The stoke error was a godsend for us really as even SR wouldn’t have been able to integrate him back into our squad after that, on top of his performances for us before hand.

The question is though why it took so long. It’s was obvious right from his first few games he was miles away from the level needed. Even when he signed quite a few said it was a mistake throwing him in yet people pointed to his record for Ireland as reason why he was good enough. Even in the championship he was the worst goalkeeper in the league. Okay they did something about it after promotion but then we were stuck with him again for the first half of last season.

One of my favourite memories that idiot Martin calling him the best keeper in the league or whatever it was, clearly didn't know enough about him apart from he signed for Man City for £15m - sums that fucking cunt up. Absolutely incompetent from everyone involved

After reliving the Baz ‘you’ve been framed’ collection, I genuinely think if we played this chap in goal (£12 rather than £12m) he would have been a better shot stopper / communicator!

Did you not see the header that deflected the cross?

I really can’t see how anyone can defend him. He is terrible and the fact he joined Bolton for a nominal fee and is on the bench for them pretty much confirms that

Few training sessions and Bolton probably thought 'oh shit'....

Other than the endless amount of memorable errors posted here, I’m with ping pong, I can’t remember any.

I will give the medal to whoever posted the Plymouth one - that is one of the only two I can remember.  (Not telling the other one, but it was offside anyway).

The others are all as I described - poor agility or slow to get down, but none of them are howlers.

(The stoke one is, but that's why I specified it had to be in a saints kit).

Second wasn't much better, classic Bazunu all round ball into the 6 yard box which a proper keeper would come and claim and then weak wrists from a header almost straight at him.

Also absolutely unstoppable, no goalkeeper in the world could have saved that either

That’s not good for their first either.

Having Victorian Plumbing on his shirt - he’s as leaky as actual Victorian plumbing that’s not seen a wrench since she was on the throne.

Would be ridiculous to blame him for that goal.

Third one is poor wrists and 100% keeper error. Second is a good header but his positioning is poor from the free kick. Some culpability. First one - would struggle to say it was keeper error but stronger wrists and arms get it away from centre of the goal. Slow defending as a unit.

You just know when we play Bolton he'll make 15 saves including 2 from penalties and we'll lose 1-0 to their only shot on target.

Bar the penalties, that reminds me of that night at Walsall in 2022. They had one shot - Macken scored - and we had 21. Walker, their keeper, was astonishing plus the woodwork.

Bless, lazy Bolton fan already having to use spygate as an excuse for Bazunu’s actual GK ability.

Generally speaking, I quite like Bolton as a club but I do find it satisfying knowing this guy will slowly come to the realisation we were right.

Maybe not blame him but it's essentially a 50:50 he loses despite being able to use his hands

Fingerprints are all over the three goals

Third is him, some role in the other two but defensively not great as a whole unit.

The better keepers inspire confidence - he creates indecision and anxiety because his position and decision-making aren’t natural combined with not being physically the biggest.

Jesus. First match and he’s already been influential for all the wrong reasons. How did he not save Bowen’s second? Just trickled under him. I am SOOOO glad I never have to watch him play for us again.

Vintage Baz.

I actually felt a chill down my spine watching the "explosive" reaction that happens a fraction (or two, or three or four) too late, and it makes the clip look like it has been edited, but no - that is indeed vintage Baz.

I am so happy I don't have to watch him ever again in a Saints shirt!
