Armstrong, Brereton-Díaz, Stewart and Archer have all had prolific spells in the Championship. I think Onuachu would as well.

only Armstrong and maybe Archer will fit into what WS wants, the others are far too lazy. WS likes high press, high energy making runs, cant see the others doing that.

There are some who are suggesting or even hoping we sell our best players to raise funds presumably to buy more mediocrity (e.g. Rambo, Fernandes, Dibling etc.)!!! My argument is those represent pretty much the MINIMUM standard we need given the depths to which our squad has sunk. I’m under no illusion it will be difficult to shift the number of woefully inadequate players we have on the books, but try we must or risk being dragged into mid-table obscurity or worse.

Literally no one is hoping we sell our best players FFS. It’s called realism.

Given that Ramsdale is almost certainly off, Lumley is out of contract and Bazunu is injured. I'd imagine we will be after at least one keeper this summer.

Not seriously. Rusk said yesterday he'll be ready for pre-season.

Spors doesn't hang about does he. Usually we're moving at the pace that Leicester currently are, but so far since January we've been very proactive. Long may it continue.

Would indicate we've told a load of the 30 odd players here that they have no future here and to find a new club this summer also. And, unlike the previous time in the Championship, and even last summer* we're branching out a bit with our signings.

*Suagwara, Fernandes and Brereton-Diaz were our only non-domestic senior transfers.

Tella, or Musiala returning.

Is there any chance we could nab Hamer from Sheffield Utd? I doubt they’d want to sell and he would be costly but they may need to sell someone now they not gone up. He’s obviously one of the best if not best players in the league and in a position we need.

I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. It’ll be some random reserve / youth player that will end up in the 21’s.

Very good player, and I like him, think he has a 13m release clause

No chance. They still have a 2nd yeAr of parachute payments and aren't going to sell to a rival. Only way is if someone in the Prem or a top league wants him, pays over the odds and / or he throws his toys out the pram.

It does benefit others (including Saints) beyond just those in the Club World Cup, in that they can sign players earlier. So they can potentially have them settled in long before pre season starts.

It benefits FIFA as they can try and get Ronaldo signed to a different club that's playing in this ridiculous competition.

£13m is a bargain, surely heading to the PL.

Man he looks fricking awesome. A 6ft 3 wide back or wide receiver. US born soccerballists are just what we need!

Here goes...

I'd like us to take a look at Ragnar Ache.

18 goals in the 2. Bundesliga this term for Kaiserslautern. Has height, power and good reflexes. 26 years old and just had his best season yet, so potential to grow with us and become even better. Kaiserslautern finished 7th this season, but have spent most of the last decade in the third tier and mid-table second tier. 1 year left on his contract. I think we'd have the sway financially and prestige-wise to take him off their hands.

Hard to find updated highlights on YouTube especially from this season but here's one from last year.

He looks like a Göztepe style player :) After 37 year old Lasse Nielsen, he is a cheap wing back at 1.88. You are buying a 1.70 full back, but as fans you want a 1.69 central midfielder.

Is it the time of year when we get fed YouTube videos of players we’ve never heard of, picked out using the FM database?

In which case I’d like to propose Muharem Huskovic

Martan Dardai.

I heard after the Everton game from a loose lipped saints director amongst other things that we were after a left footed German CB. Couldn’t be arsed to try and figure out who it could be but this guy fits that description. Doubt there are too many other potential players that it could be.

I would chuckle quite a lot if Man Utd dropped a significant chunk of their budget on Dibling.

Jordan Torunarigha? 27, formerly of Hertha Berlin, has just left Gent at the end of his contract. Left sided, quick, athletic, German (although he's switched to Nigeria). And free.

Think Johansson and Fofana are also on the radar. Hope so as both offer a serious upgrade on Bazunu and McCarthy.

Has Johansson actually been linked? I hope so as he is a great keeper.

Dare I say it old school and keeps the ball out of the net - regardless of how good he is with his feet.

Not linked as far as I know but definitely scouted.

Ws looking at recent Lens players and Still had Juma Bah on loan from Man City for the second half of the season. He was at Real Valladolid previously, before a messy buy out of his contract enabled him to join City. He's a 19 year old centre back. He's a proper unit, 6'5 but looks a little ungainly in his Youtube video.

Interesting shout, never heard of him as too busy checking the zambian 2nd division but based on youtube highlights looks like a good project for intially 3rd/4th CB.

Sadly we already have more ample 3rd / 4th CBs 🫣

Due to the imminent takeover by Turki Al-Sheikh Saints now linked with a move for Ulrich van Gobbel. Source? Optional Cranberry

A loan wouldn't be a bad thing, but hopefully that's it. This policy of buying City's young players has been shit, with the exception of Lavia. We may get a profit on THB if we're lucky.
