Hopper Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Updates report both Taylor and Bree being loan deals despite being their last years. Sizable loan fees? Edited 8 hours ago by Hopper

Possibly Edozie tbc, possibly Smallbone. Ins - Long, Jander, Mads, Jelert, Fellows, Scienza, Quarshie, Downs, Azaz Pretty much a bus full getting off our bus 🥺 Hope we have eleven players left to field a full team against Portsmouth. Baz Fl Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Spors has done a great job in the last few signings with two good wingers and a solid #10, my worry is who will finish the extra chances they create? Our 9’s have not shown that any of them are up to scoring the amount of goals needed to gain promotion. Between them they’re missing more sitter than actually scoring. 1
hypochondriac Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago A striker on loan would make a lot of sense. I know it isn't happening but it's too important a position to risk imo.

Basically permanents in the form of their loan fee for us, with the two clubs just not wanting to take them on for multiple years. Bree, Taylor and ABK won't ever be back here. Ramsdale, Sugawara and Brereton-Diaz the three loanees who likely will be.

If you were a striker playing for us and you saw the creative talent being signed wouldn't that lighten your mood a little - feel like there was less pressure on each chance you had because there would be another one along in a few minutes... 4
gio1saints Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) I notice Matt O’Reilly is off to Marseille on loan. I always had an idea he’d move this window. Shame we cannot afford him ( nor would he drop a league and muss CL football!) but great player and I guess we have Azaz in that kind of role now- though he can play false #9 ( like he did v us in preseason). Think there were some scoffing when I mentioned his name before but my hunch he was moving was correct. Edited 7 hours ago by gio1saints

Who do you have in mind? They have to be unwanted by the current club, which is usually a bad start, plus it's tough getting senior pro's to drop down from the PL. So, that would mean coming from abroad...I'm struggling to think of perfect fit.

Plus there’s the problem of having five strikers potentially vying for just one place if we have Azaz and Fellows playing ( and Scienza?) As it is it looks like Armstrong Stewart & Downs are on the bench - recruit another forward and that’s four strikers out of the nine subs. IF ( and I do not expect it- if these forwards misfire they will get rotated and we will get a better one in Jan) another one comes in surely someone must go out on loan or get sold - my guess would be the one in his final year ( RS) to at least get a fee out of it.

Fingers crossed 🙏 If you were previously a high scoring forward but have been out of form due to injury or playing in a team which was terrible for the league you were in you'll be tense and low on confidence in the crucial moments. We've already seen this process once with Arma - wank in PL; Champ 23-24 2nd highest scorer and top for goal involvements. Archer & Nessie could potentially experience the same situation 1
