For everyone jizzing their pants at the prospect of Danny Rohl, he finished the season with 1 more point than 35 year old Tom Cleverly at fucking Watford in his first ever management job.

Sheffield Wednesday 58, Watford 57.

Danny also finished this season with less points per game than the previous season - all after bringing 9 new players in.

He is now touting himself round in the German Press.  All while still having 2 years left on his Wednesday contract.

Not forgetting forwards on the wings with nobody in the middle, workings of a genius. Cant fathom why we hardly score

Can we? Do you think we are an attractive option for anyone “better” at the moment?

Other than the synergies 😉 the trajectory of how Spors is assembling his footballing related team with ex-777 people would suggest that he’s all in for Rohl - the final piece of the jigsaw? Makes so much sense and who knows, it might be the heaven-made match we’ve been crying out for? 🤞

You mean crashing downwards disastrously?

I think Spors' job as "Global Sports Director" probably didn't intersect with 777 Partners Lawyers or Bankers.

You mean that in the 4 years he was there as 777's sports director he didn't know what was going on? Isn't he very bright? The fans of the teams he was directing seemed to know. 777 were a bigger disaster for the football clubs they owned than Sport Republic.

how much does the average employee know about how the top people who work in their company deal with their contracts or finances? he was an employee.

Just been to St Mary's as heard a rumour that the club was voting on who the new manager was going to be.

Black smoke though so no decision as of yet...

Well as their sport director he must surely have been aware what was happening at the football clubs he was supposedly directing?

"Sevilla, are currently rock bottom of LaLiga. Meanwhile, Standard Liege are protesting against 777, who took over the club in March 2022.

'Your Galaxy shouldn’t damage our future!' their banners read, calling out their owners lack of investment and ambition shown in this summer's transfer window as they went six games without a win earlier this month.

Hertha Berlin were relegated last season, finishing bottom of the league after 777 had taken control in November.

Vasco da Gama are also in the relegation zone in Serie A."

Seems like the perfect match for us.

We'll be tearing up league 1 in no time.

That is an article from 2023 though? 777 aren't the greatest, but Sevilla and Vasco both stayed up and Hertha was a different problem all together, they were in the shit during the Windhorst era and would of gone down no matter what..

Looking forward to us appointing a manager who has clearly stated they have no intention of working at the top level and trying to inspire us to promotion.

That's how I read it.

I want to work with the best players, Bundesligais a good leauge and would be a good option for me (as is the PL).

If a CL club comes knocking and theyre a good fit why would I turn that down.

Nothing to see here. Move on.

Stop looking at league tables as the only barometer of whether someone is capable working in a different environment. That might help you get it.

Thanks Ankerson, we heard you already last time you said it. Russell Martin is still a shit manager

Clearly we are not Manchester United, but we are still a draw for many managers who are on the way up. The trick is to find one that actually is, rather than thinks that he is.

Reading the quotes here, whilst nothing concrete, it doesn't particularly come across as he has an agreement with Saints and is expecting to be announced in due course.

If that were the case (with Saints or any club) I'm not sure what he has to gain from doing the podcast.

Considering he is still contracted to Sheff Weds for 2 more years having willingly signed an extension its fairly unprofessional from him IMO.

True, but that was in response to the post that “we could do better than Rohl”. I would say Rohl fits what you describe, but he may have different ideas.

One thing is for sure - if the squad is not sorted out it’ll not matter a jot who the manager is.

Any manager worth his salt will want assurances over the squad.

If we end up with some no-mark, then the writing is on the wall.

Don’t know about better but Cooper would be a very sensible and practical choice for what is required.

So they won’t appoint him then.
