Given we appear to have put the Leo Scienza deal on hold one might assume the club is pretty confident of getting this deal across the line. However, many transfer windows have seen us flirting with recruiting players only to fail at the death.

A right winger - that’s Adam’ Armstrong usual area of the pitch when he’s on. And with his stats Fellows is a starting 11 winger not a sub. 

Wonder how that impacts on Adams role and place in the team seeing as he’s not done brilliant in the classic centre forward position if he has to shift over. I think it most likely means he’s benched. Along with Ryan Fraser whose slot is surely taken by Azaz. Strong bench.

Scienza as well. Still was keen on two wingers and you need four for the games we have with Robinson and Fraser. 

Early days with Downs and Archer might be better suited as a sole central striker with Azaz and Fellows linking with him and a progressive midfield playing him in far earlier. Stewart has looked tidy when fit this year so far, AA is the dilemma. 💯 has the pedigree at this level but not a winger and not a central striker. Tricky one for Still but good issue to have.

Unless AA off but I think BBD will be. And needs to be for his sake, confidence in the gutter.

Not much Saints can do if that is the case but wait for him to decide and then get someone else if he says no (Kone, Guilavogui etc).

Scienza plays on the other side so not really a factor.
