RedArmy Posted yesterday at 13:54 Posted yesterday at 13:54 We are in need of a massive confidence boost before next Sunday. On the front foot from the word go or they can all fuck off. 1
Sheaf Saint Posted yesterday at 13:55 Posted yesterday at 13:55 How the holy fuck does Manning get himself picked at LWB every week FFS? How shit must Welington be in training to not manage to displace him? 5
bpsaint Posted yesterday at 13:57 Posted yesterday at 13:57 Eckert out. Even with their apparent injury crisis I expect Hull to win. 3
Mboto Gorge Posted yesterday at 14:00 Posted yesterday at 14:00 This guy knows no other way to play, cowardly and out of his depth. Pathetic actually having someone like this in charge of a club our size. Embarrassing 7

Mboto Gorge Posted yesterday at 14:01 Posted yesterday at 14:01 We all know we don’t score in the final 30 minutes of a game and barely in the final 45. So if we are losing or drawing by 60 mins, that’ll be our lot
Turkish Posted yesterday at 14:01 Posted yesterday at 14:01 (edited) back to 3 CBbs then 🙄 Fellows is absolutely wasted as a wing back Edited yesterday at 14:01 by Turkish 5

AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 14:02 Posted yesterday at 14:02 Chris Wilder is going to take Tonda to the cleaners on Weds. Such a terrible fucking manager 3
hypochondriac Posted yesterday at 14:03 Posted yesterday at 14:03 Fuck off five at the back. I fucking hate this manager. 5
pingpong Posted yesterday at 14:04 Posted yesterday at 14:04 Too adventurous again. It gets lots of chances for us, I get that, but 3 at the back leaves us too exposed, time and time again. Would rather we go 451 and control midfield, it's basics, protect the back first, especially now that we have a complete nutcase in goal.
badgerx16 Posted yesterday at 14:05 Posted yesterday at 14:05 (edited) Rasmusball again. Posession% and completed passes are way more important than goals. Edited yesterday at 14:06 by badgerx16 2
SaintNewForest Posted yesterday at 14:05 Posted yesterday at 14:05 Tonda in his press conference "it's not my choice to play 5 at the back" All eyes on Sport Republic dictating it then. As many of us suspected. 7

LGTL Posted yesterday at 14:12 Posted yesterday at 14:12 The season is all about next Sunday in my eyes (as it should be for any proper sotonian) so it’s all about a confidence boost for then. I just can’t see it with this wanker of a manager though. And up against Wilder midweek could be simply embarrassing.

If the manager doesn't have the balls to tell them to shove it or if he's doing it because he thinks it's the best way to play he's wrong either way. Playing the exact same team that has got us on this winless run is mad as well. We will inevitably concede a goal and probably more than one which makes it mad to be playing this formation. So sick of shite football and about five of the players on the pitch stealing a living. I'd genuinely rather have some youth or fringe players in than these bunch of cunts. Sick of it play fellows in his proper position you bunch of bellends. Luckily I'm unable to catch up with the first half so won't have to suffer through it. 2
NewYorkSaint Posted yesterday at 14:14 Posted yesterday at 14:14 Remind me what our formation was when we blew away every team in the first half on four different occasions? Oh... that's right... five at the back. It's weird that once the fan-base gets locked into a single explanation for our woes, any appeal to actual evidence goes out the window. The first 20 comments on X on the team announcement are all winging about that one thing. As opposed to saying... this is about the best line-up we can field right now. To me the main thing that's needed is a real commitment to moving the ball fast, even if that sometimes goes wrong. When it goes right, confidence builds and we become unstoppable. I think it's 50/50 that we return today to a thrilling first half and a minimum of two goals. 2 1

We need to play with more urgency, and get the ball into the midfielders or the channels. I also don't think we have a decent full back on either side, so don't have the personnel for a solid back 4. 1

The current run is terrible, and he's just sticking to the same old same old. Change it up, try something new. 2
Lone ranger Posted yesterday at 14:24 Posted yesterday at 14:24 Maybe sports republic and the Magee are watching United take city apart and realise finally that possession based football such as we have played since Martin came is NOT the answer and is generally very boring to watch. Maybe if we stop losing games continuously in the same manner, and actually start winning again and playing even half decently using this formation, then the comments might stop? Just a thought. It’s completely credible to share frustrations at a way of playing being continuously repeated despite zero recent success whilst playing it. 2
