it is predominantly royal blue - should never happen.

Honestly, I’m on board for the actual pattern, it’s an away shirt; a lot of people say the home shirt is boring, so something a bit quirky is always fun. 
 

Two things put me off, assuming that is genuine. The plain bib looking back and the inevitable £65 price tag.

Even worse that they’ve put a plain blue space on the back for a number despite being completely unnecessary.

It's like they've tried the one up the blue 2022-23 away kit. But, I actually liked that kit, the design was a bit out there, but there were clear patterns and they tried to go with a coastal theme for our club.

The one above looks like someone's just chucked some colours on a shirt and the back thing looks even worse with it.

The best blue kits in my view have been the navy blue efforts (blue/sky Rank Xerox, or navy blue with yellow in L1). 
 

Both were designed as football shirts not a psychedelic mish mash.

Home shirt is disgustingly adequate. That (probable) away shirt is adequately disgusting.

Here's hoping that the third is a beauty, as it has been - in my own humble football shirt collector opinion - the last few years. Loved the pink, loved the spitfire jobbie etc.

I hope it's a devilish colour wash type, badge, maker logo, sponsor n all. We haven't ever had one like that really. So that's my hope. 

(Plus - If we have a great season, they'll all be forgiven.)

I had a look at the home kit in the store today.

It’s bloody beautiful. Clean. Crisp. Simple.
Good texture on it, not too thick and slightly elasticated in classic Puma style.

They’ve done well.

The goalkeeper kits are the same.

If that’s the away kit - fucking hell they’ve dropped the ball there. That’s horrific.
