Wellington has brought it out really calmly a couple of times and been there with key tackles. I never want to see Manning in a Saints shirt again.

Weird, Manning preferred to Wellington until now. bree loaned out and two right back brought in neither of which are as good.

Really good. He’s always been better than Manning, impossible to be worse. So glad the manager has worked that out.

The argument you’d imagine they had internally was the Manning was better going forward in a 5. But regardless play the players in their correct positions and I’d much rather play a defender for his defensive qualities.
 

Hope Welli can get some consistency with a good run of games.

THB has his Pirlo boots on today, it seems

We are much better here, plenty of the ball in the final 3rd

Not troubled their keeper anywhere near enough

Leo good and poo at the same time

Fellows dangerous

Azaz good

THB and Jack good

Wellington good

CM pair decent

 

We need to get more shots away...lets not forget, they have loads of players out.

Peretz iffy punch there but came to nought. 

Good first half really. Can't complain. Not seen much from Ross but maybe he's saving himself for the second half. 

I can't see us keeping a clean sheet so another goal or two would be nice.

Stephens and THB have been solid. Jack especially - a great half from him.

Wellington has look much better than manning. 

I like Peretz. Considering we seem more than happy to allow crosses in, i think at least he gets on pretty much every one that comes in. But until we learn to actually defend crosses this will be a recurring issue regardless of keeper.

Neither Downes or Jander seems to have been told to anchor the midfield in a true defensive role - that is the tweak that needs to be made imo.

Fellows very good. Azaz is having a good game, getting more time on the ball in the positions he wants.

Scienza has looked odly quiet - i wonder if the outgoing rumours has unsettled him a bit, or maybe just having to adjust to having a big man up top rather than AA's runs.

Stewart pretty meh. Couple of very sloppy offsides, should really have attacked the cross better and scored instead of azaz.

Is Bree really the best RB we have?

Good 1st half - looked brilliant in moments 

THB looks so much better in a back 4 & amazing pass for goal 

Wellington very positive 

Scienza a little disappointing - positive going forward but a little selfish & losing ball far too easy 

Midfield too deep at times leaving a big hole - need to be a little more positive

Would like to see more going direct through middle rather than always going out to wings 

Be nice to get another early goal

The midfield duo are interesting. My preference would be Charles as the pivot with Jander a little bit more free. Downes is good in the tackle but when he gets the ball it’s always backwards with the pass.

...because Still and Tonda (all be it with some injuries) have taken a fucking age to put a decent side out. Stewart up front with two wingers, four at the back. Pretty much every Saints fan has called for it. We have it now. No excuses.

A bit of confidence and we can perhaps make a run. 

Stoke are shit. They might get back into this game, but we have outclassed them. We should be a couple up by now.

A good half from Saints, but Stewart completely anonymous, may as well give the kid a run out.  Wellington so much a better player than Manning.  Best I’ve seen Azaz play for a while - he was the beneficiary of a perfectly weighted assist from Fellows.
