Fair point. We are certainly giving ourselves a lot to do in this final week of the window, however players want to play and he may well want a move, so you do have to consider that.  Also, both may be on very decent wages for the championship, which is not ideal for a back up. Possibly we can loan them out and bring in a player Tonda actually wants. Maybe on less money. Maybe get Aluko from Leicester, which would add some young talent to the squad.

We brought Roserlev whilst a Championship team so doubt wages are too much of an issue. Could be the case with Suga and he is one that probably wants to go. I'd still say to Roserlev give us until the January window. The way Bree has started the season he may get a chance.

I hope they bring in someone with some mental strength too. As soon as something goes against us the whole team collapses like a pack of cards. Last night you got the sense that they didn’t even realise the game had changed. They just continued to play this horrendous slow ploddy game in the hope tha5 it would all be different in the end. We need some mental toughness in the side and players we bring in.

Possibly, but it shows the awful position we are in financially and player numbers. Although SR are trying to rectify the situation, it was of their own making. Fingers crossed they can fix this.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't. Every squad has three goalkeepers and Bazunu and Ramsdale are very likely to leave before the window closes. It will likely be a third choice backup for peanuts.

This has crossed my mind, we need a CM, but one that can easily step into midfield if Downes/Jander are injured/suspended. And you're probably not going to bring in the quality needed when you can't guarentee they'll play.

TO bring in JWP who can also play in other positions, I'd think he'd love to come home, and brings wealth of experience would be pretty logical...can't see him getting another prem move, and he is available which probably makes him underpriced...

THB, Quarshie??

Edozie, BBD, Archer, Downs?

If all that lot go, we will need to bring in a minimum of:
GK, CB (poss 2), CM and an attacking player. I would quite like to see an upgrade on the right wing too...

Clearly we want a smaller squad, cos ours is ridiculous, but we desperately need some quality.

JWP with all of his attributes including versatlilty would be a no brainer.

With the players available it is highly probable that Millwall will beat us.

We have the rest of the window to reshape the squad. Even if we bring in the right players it will take time to bed them in not helped by the international break.

With the 4 point deduction coupled with a slow start we'll be playing catch up same as last season.

Any play-off spot will be a decent achievement but we'll need to see massive improvement or lower mid-table obscurity awaits.

I didn't say it wasn't possible to do. I said we may have left ourselves too much to do. Three days is not a lot of time to make two extra signings on top of potentially four others (assuming we make any signings over the next three days.)

Maybe not an issue, but he was in the PL and we had the parachute payment, so his wage may be `decent' for the championship. That's OK if he's first choice and playing well, but he's clearly the back up and might not be offering value. Sure, that's football, and if Bree gets injured then it pays off, but equally there is no harm in shuffling the pack. If a player doesn't hit, try and again.

The money we'd need to spend on his wages, he'd have to start most games. If that isn't going to happen, then he's very expensive cover.  I like him lot. His touch stands out at this level. And he is a great recycler of the ball.

Very good question. Landing the quality of Jander, Azaz and Scienza will take some doing, but if we cant do better than Quarshie, Downs, Jelert and Roeslev second time around, then our scouts need changing.

Good shout, but he played as a defensive midfielder all of last season. Good midfielder are good midfielders. 

Might be tough to get them to leave a CL-bound side for us. A few decent games in that league and they could get far better moves.

I actually think that bringing JWP back wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. I'm not romanticising it, he's not Romeu mk2, he genuinely could put a shift in the middle of the park still. Would be nice to have the variation of his and Manning's deliveries on set pieces. Also, on last nights showing West Ham won't be worried about selling to a competitor...

Long term (PL next season or season after) JWP wont be the answer. Right now there probably isn't a better option. Fans on here cry out for experience and this man has it in spades in the PL and also the Championship. I mean hes even represented England!!

Id love him back here. Like Romeu last season BUT with the ability to still play and be a big part of our squad and team.

I hope not. Unless theres a second CM in addition to JWP that will mean Akachukwu will be the 4th...not sure thats the best option. Downes Jander Bragg and JWP and the main CMs would be ideal for me.
