Some of Falchener's attributes appear to be quite similar to Schlotterbeck. Tall and good at headers, nowhere near as much of a ball player as THB.

Think we still need a replacement for Shea Charles. Maybe a loan from a Prem club would be an option.

This Plettenberg post from May suggests a fair few big clubs have been tracking Affengruber or at least showing an interest. Would this signing be a big coup?

I just read a piece that suggested interest in him was strong but has since tailed off. Sounds like his agent was doing a bit of fishing to see if there were any bites.

Personally I’d expect a signing tomorrow… no way does THB be allowed to go without a confirmed player coming in. SFC generally do their business in private without a huge amount of rumours.

Just reading this thread and the possible links to Falchener and Affengruber. And one question jumps to my mind, why come here? 

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be very happy if one or even both join us, but looking at where they are now and their ages it doesn’t make sense to me. 

Falchener will be playing Champions League this season and Affengruber plays in the Primera Division. Why would you go to the Championship?

If we do sign them I think we can conclude that our best signing in the last few years has been Johannes Spors. The players he has signed have mostly been quality. Peretz, Jander, Larin, Scienza, Azaz and it seems like Schlott isn’t to bad either.

Wage increases and a chance of even more after promotion. Even in the Championship we have a bigger income than Elche and Viking and a bigger wage budget.

Three shirt buttons, you say?  Can't help but feel that you're being a tad over-optimistic there.  But don't knock LVs, they were a remarkably flexible form of currency, particularly with Cynthia Payne.

I read on the ever reliable Reddit, that Falchener earns approx €5k per week in Norway. If we sign him for £8m+, then surely he'd triple his wage at least.
