Another pic that amused me was those two ladies who usually get the coach to away games and were clearly obsessed with Russell Martin, as they sent a letter in to the Echo in his defence.

Someone mentioned Dibling on loan, why would we want him back?

He's jumped ship twice, wouldn't be long before he did it a third time.

How can you jump ship as a loanee?

I hadn’t heard of either until a few days agreed. Impossible for us to make any informed judgment really, although would now be happy to see either Falchener or Affengruber signed.

From the little seen and read, Falchener might have the edge in my book. Bit taller and a couple of years younger, although I have to remind myself that’s probably irrelevant as he’ll look to fuck off in a couple of years. But he does look more of a goal threat and the prospect of him,  Schlotterbeck and Larin getting on the end of a Manning free kick (as Saturday) or a JWP corner would be an exciting prospect. No idea how Affengruber matches up in that area.

But either would see us have the best defence in the division.

taller is good...and a goal or two would be handy.

not that is helps to assess him, but Norway have a couple of very good CBs keeping him out of their starting line up in Ajer and Heggem. I really liked Heggem when he was at WBA and had half hoped he'd struggled for games at Bologna so we could bring him back, but he seems to have had a good season in Seria A. I guess you could say the same with Austria.

Unlikely to leave midway through a loan!

I've got a topless picture and video of badboysaint in a headlock getting some payback for being a bellend on the coach to the derby playoff game somewhere. I consider that a classic piece of SFC folklore.

you can never have too many quality players in attack. Dibling gets his confidence back and he could make the difference come next May. Carvalho is another mentioned on this thread. Genuine quality on the ball. Yes please. Cant see either happening.

Went to prison I believe. Was already well on his way at that point despite only being about 14 at the time.

I wanna see:

Affengruber or Viking mush centre back.

A forward to rotate with Larin, target man hold up the ball.

Tyler Dibbs on loan can cover right wing and forward postions.

So 3 incomings and it'll be a decent window.

We sold Baz. For actual currency. Its a more than decent window.

Not surprising. Had the misfortune of sharing a train back from Cardiff with him once. Often wondered if he managed to make anything of his life.

I'd appreciate someone using AI to put all these characters in a Sgt peppers lineup.

Summary of where we are:

GK backup - zero links at all, slightly concerning

CB -  THB £25m + £5m add ons to Villa. Medical today.

€10m bid rejected for Falchener and gao in valuation means we have reportedly ended our interest.

Main target appears to be Affengruber, rumours we are pushing hard and it will take €10-12m to get him. Alfie house suggests we have ‘a few targets’ but confirms our interest.

RB - Sugawara continues to be linked to Celtic. No links to Roerslev leaving so seems likely he ends up being backup for Bree.

CM - Alfie said on Total Saints Pod that there was ‘categorically’ nothing in the Jander not really be injured links and expects him to stay. Seems like our business is done here.

LW - Edozie linked to Italy (€2m rumoured). Not sure if we loan an option here if we sell?

ST - Archer to Preston (loan rumoured but wages are high). Gone very quiet on Downs but MLS seems likely. Ratkov is off to Levante, so that link is dead.

I seriously doubt we're getting another forward in and bumping Mubama down to third choice to barely get a look in.

There is room for 3 strikers. It's a long season. One injury to either and we're down to one striker or Dobbin. Same with our GK position, we need better than Long as second choice.

Utterly embarrassing and just shows how fucking clueless certain parts of every fanbase are, not just ours.

Smallbone, Aribo, Ings, Ryan Fraser and Wesley Hoedt on the list, amongst others. Feel a bit for Will Smallbone. He’s too good to not get a contract somewhere but guess he’s used to reasonable wages.

Ryan Fraser will come off that list as:

Macarthur Bulls FC have signed Western Sydney Wanderers winger Ryan Fraser.

Change your settings to auto-translate everything to English

But then post the original, untranslated version so no one can read it.

Then point out how smart you are by saying it's automatically translated on X, whilst not noticing that the copied version isn't.

Call everyone else stupid for not being able to use X properly

I fail to see how Larin, Mubama and Dobbin (who isn't a striker) is stronger than Larin, Stewart and Archer.

Archer hasn't gone yet, but I think they'd use Oyekunle as third choice. Anyone we get in at this point would be a waste of money. No-one good enough to make a difference will come to be rotated as second/third choice.

Oyekunle has gone on loan to Leyton Orient.

We're working down the list. Replacing THB with an 18 year old would be concerning.

He is a full international for Italy and had some game time last season for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Oh, well then he won't be joining us.

Well, fuck.

I still don't see us signing anyone else and if we do it'll be a really disappointing level of quality imo.
