Tommy Mulgrew Posted Friday at 13:14 Posted Friday at 13:14 Somebody else to look out for, in case anyone did not know: Yan Valery - right-back Yan Valery will be playing at his first World Cup Nation: Tunisia Club: Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield Wednesday's Valery, 27, started every game of Tunisia's Africa Cup of Nations campaign until they went out to Mali on penalties in the last 16. He also featured in the 1-0 friendly defeat by Austria on 1 June and you can expect Valery to play a significant role at the World Cup. Alongside him in the Tunisia squad is Norwich City midfielder Anis Ben Slimane.

Turkish Posted Saturday at 17:35 Posted Saturday at 17:35 Just watching the 1966 final on channel 4. I watched it before years ago but didn’t realise until now what a terrible game it was. Standard of game really low. I also don’t realise England had about 5 really good chances at 2-1 to put the game to bed but missed them all due to a mix of poor finishing and decision making. I know technology has moved on, boots, balls pitches are better, players are fitter and faster, tactics and analysis better etc but I don’t think either teams would get anywhere on the World Cup these days.
Dr Who? Posted Saturday at 17:39 Posted Saturday at 17:39 Will be keeping an eye on the Saints players and Scotland 🏴 and the Netherlands 🇳🇱, after the mighty England 🏴 of course!
Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted Saturday at 18:06 Posted Saturday at 18:06 Random bold prediction time. Japan will reach the final. Mark my words. 1 1 1

You can say that about any sport ! Also rule changes and players drinking culture plus crunching tackles and not forgetting money , money , money !

Sourness in the Telegraph today, the only three players he ever played against who he felt were playing a different game to him, Zico, Maradona and …. Alan Ball. 4

I took my Southampton FC union jack to England and Saints games I think upto ZDS final then there were more St George ones especially late 90s as then got ckub logos on flags. I stitched on a Saints flag to a St George's flag around 2003 for a few away and home games. Edited yesterday at 01:21 by die Mannyschaft 1

JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted Saturday at 22:38 Posted Saturday at 22:38 Hard seltzer is available in the UK. Basically flavoured alcoholic sparkling/tonic water. Its rank (imo) but has little or no calories.

bpsaint Posted yesterday at 00:11 Posted yesterday at 00:11 2 hours ago, Turkish said: When did it flip from union jacks to St George cross? Must be euro 1996? Good question, I think Euro 96 with us hosting and England and Scotland being drawn together was probably a big catalyst for getting our own identity, but even still looking at photos of England crowds in 96 and France 98 there’s a lot of Union flags still.
