I didn't watch but the match report I've just read commented how it broke up the flow of the game. I intensely dislike Infantino and his minions and hope that the next time he's up Trump's arse he gets stuck.

I thought Sepp Blatter was a low point for FIFA but Infantino leaves him standing. Everyone could see which way this was going when Trump was the recipient of the first FIFA Peace Prize last year. 2 of the most odious men on the planet on many levels.

Tunisia manager Sabri Lamouchi sacked after losing 5-1 to Sweden in the opening group game. Apparently had a big row with the players and then a fight at the team hotel when they arrived back from the game

Hope he asked them to bring their dinner?

Nah, they'll give up at 6 and just pass the ball around amongst themselves for 35 minutes.

Has the potential for Spain to score double figures

Cape Verde finished above Cameroon to be fair. African teams being in World Cup is tradition

As there are ever increasing stats creeping in I would like to see how much total volume of fluid is taken in at each hydration break. Individuals and team stats please. And hopefully open up a new betting market

Non it's plan B for the Spanish, pass the ball around for 85 minutes and then someone trips over his own feet in the box for a penalty. Energy saving plan.

Does this 40 year-old Cape Verde keeper fancy doing a back up job in the championship next season per chance....

Looks handy..perhaps Pedro Pelé could recrute him for us.

Actually, he looks closer to 50 than 40  in that close up shot at half time 😂

That's the look of a man that's going back to gutting fish once his playing days are over.

Just had exactly the same thought and wondered if anyone on here had said the same!!

Not great Spain. A few of their "stars" transparent. Need a real striker.

When you take the Argentinians and Uruguayens out their football is insipid.

Why have ITV got an East End pub landlady as a pundit?

She talks a lot more sense than most of the usual ones. Frank.

Spain trying to walk it in the net.

Stats. Spain passes. 4 million.

Cape Verde. Passes. 7.

Score. Nil nil.

This is reminding me of the 1-0 at Elland Road in our promotion season.

Spain have been nowhere good as Leeds were. Leeds created chances for a start

Matterface can be ok as a commentator but is so shit at trying to say something monumental. Like just then at the final whistle

Yeah. Really forced and unnatural. And even the pre-planned stuff is shit.

Skate cunt.

Better than Lee Dixon at least.

Yes, Cape Verde put up a plucky performance, but Dixon saying Spain don't deserve a point is just weird.

I quite like Dixon. He's so miserable, it's a nice antidote to the usual over-the-top faux-happy bollocks.

I didn’t think you could go as high as a 15 pinter

The problem with that is that you end up smashing it all night as well, cos you can't go off.

it's tricky equation, too many pints and the desire to copulate resides, not enough and you'll hate yourself

Spain created a few half chances, didn't have anyone good enough to take them. Torres (the real one not the cardboard replica they have now) would have put some of them away.

Oh and Rodri is no longer Rodri, drop him.

A bit of name dropping. I did a charity cycle ride across Scotland a few years back now and Lee Dixon was one of those on that ride. He was a really decent bloke with a great sense of humour along with Sir Les Ferdinand. Now the rugby guys to a man apart from Kenny Logan were a bunch of cvnts.

I think you can strike Spain from the list of favourites for this WC. That was awful.

Bit early to write them off. Argentina lost their opening match against Saudi Arabia four years ago.
