Not sure they're fussed about that, 4 points pretty much guaranteed they're through.

They have to go for it surely. Then a draw against Switzerland will put them through as group winners.

Oh yeah true, can't have both Bosnia and Qatar getting 3 points final game.

Still technically possible to finish 4th in this group with 4 points although would take an extremely unlikely swing in GD for that to be Canada.

Perfect placement on that free kick

Was a great free kick but a dodgy wall, mind you they don't have the players!

Good game that. Larin had a couple of half chances but it got to the point where Qatar had no option but to go ultra defensive and became difficult to break down. Still, a goal is good for him. He has to outscore David now! He'll be hungry.

Sad for the ex-Watford player Kone though. Decent player.

I have enough in the tank for Mexico vs South Korea.

Just watched the replay, wish I hadn't.  No malice in the challenge but his leg was all wonky.

Saddo here rewound “the tape” should have taken your word for it - heard it go 🤢

No wonder the closest Qatari stopped, looked, not knowing what to do.

They cut away from the not unsurprising scuffle at the end.

Horrible for Kone. The player who did it, looked gutted. But it was a rubbish challenge, and he'd was overly psyched up and shouty all game.

Larin will be disappointed not to have got more. Canada had so many options, but picked other options a lot, rather than decent delivery to his head.

11 goals this evening. Not too shabby.

Probably famous last words as it will probably end up nil nil now I'm saying this, but I expect a few goals in the Mexico vs Korea game.

Looks like I chose the right time to get some kip.

I meant to say last night I thought the pundit panel of Emma, Ange, and once our Bradley Wright- Phillips were pretty good on the Canada game. Saw that’s what Bradley does now on TV for MLS games in the states - unlike his Dad he wasn’t sat on his seat looking like he was waiting for the bell to go in class  to be the first out the door to home at the end of school.

Did she explain the tactical situation on the Blackboard?

Andros Townsend in commentary, probably tongue in cheek, before the hydration break posed a tactical question that maybe Emma could answer during it - she didn’t oblige. Probably after all the jolly japes on social media in her own particular way, she’s told ITV where they can stick their kitchen blackboard!

Just caught the Mexico v S Korea highlights

Jonathan Pearce slating the players, before promptly getting the score wrong. Martin Keown electroshocked out of a coma every once in a while for a cliché. Grim.

The World Cup seems to be a lot more successful than previously expected.
The high price of tickets, flights, accommodation, internal transport etc etc was supposed to result in fairly empty stadia,
It doesnt look that way now and the games, so far, seem to have been played in front of near capacity crowds.
Can't really understand how so many people, especially from lower ranked nations and those not enjoying a fairly high average income, can turn up for the games.
Still I suppose it shows to those staunch supporters of the current US President, that people from outside the 'Greatest Nation on Earth, can turn up, with money in their pocket and smiles on their faces and have a jolly good time.

There’s also thousands of people from each country living in the states. It wouldn’t surprise me if 60/70% of some nations supporters are US residents.

The women will be ok as long as they don’t leave their handbags in the dressing room.

I held back on that nugget - when he first went their I wondered how he got around that stain on his record to be let in - but then he was apparently watching out as Nathan Dyer was doing the rummaging.
