sockeye Posted yesterday at 21:08 Posted yesterday at 21:08 Onto the next one, luckily we are at home this time against a strong Swansea side. We are lucky that the LND is not fit as they sit at the top of the table undefeated so far this season. Need to see a response following the pathetic effort against Lincoln, and for these new guys (Dobbin, Mubama) in attack to start kicking on. It would be great if we could give a Schlott-Abbott pairing a go for this game.
saintant Posted yesterday at 21:11 Posted yesterday at 21:11 Think this will finish 0-0 followed by a loss at home to Brizzle City who usually seem to have our number.
Turkish Posted yesterday at 21:22 Posted yesterday at 21:22 FFS you bunch of melts were playing Swansea and Bristol City! Both clubs in our catchment area and we are bigger than they could ever dream of being. Yeah I get it’s their cup final but 9/10 the small guy loses and Watford have already had the 1. Easy wins to the south coast Real Madrid 8 1
Harry_SFC Posted yesterday at 22:00 Posted yesterday at 22:00 Peretz, Bree, Abbott, Schlotterbeck, Manning, Downes, JWP, Scienza, Azaz, Fellows, Larin. I would give Abbott and Schlotterbeck a run of games now and hope they are able to form a solid partnership because I just don't trust Wood or Stephens. Especially the latter. 1

Agree with this - there's not much to lose other than discovering he's worse than Stephens and Wood but at least we'll find out.
Patrick Bateman Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Keep Stephens away from the team, tell Scienza to stop fucking falling over and run at his man, get Jander fit. Easy win ... 2

Agree with this, although Matsuki over Fellows.
Baird of the land Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Hopefully after their strong start they’ll come onto us like Millwall, which will help us break them down despite our horribly limited midfield.

Pilchards Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Around 60 minutes hook off Larin, Scienza, Downes and whoever else is playing really well as we need to save them for Bristol City. According to the coaching team the next game is more important than the current one. 4 5

That's accurate, especially as Bristol City have had their midweek game vs Lincoln postponed (Lincoln involved in Carabao cup) so our analysts will fear Bristol's fresher legs Snoop Dog's Swansea look very good so far, only 1 goal conceded in 5 league games , last seasons top scorer Vitopnik now back and available , from what ive seen they are opposite of Lincoln's style, good passing football on the floor so perhaps a better style for us to play against. Prediction: 0-0
Football Special Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago P.S. are they still trying to sue us for poaching Russell Martin? 1
Toadhall Saint Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Draw at very best esp if we play like we did in the second half vs Lincoln.

Unfortunately this is the trap that Tonda has fallen into, he's not the only manager to do it, but they hide behind "data" saying Player A was getting fatigued etc. 7

Maybe something is lacking at club level for this. 2
beatlesaint Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Just as an aside anyone coming from the west of Southampton remember the main A31 through the New Forest is closed overnight so its a lovely trip through Lyndhurst and Christchurch on the way home ! Edited 12 hours ago by beatlesaint

Do you mean Lyndhurst and Christchurch? Won't be too bad on a35 that time of night, a mate of mine drives from Dorset and planning to park at Brockenhurst and get train in which also seems a good option
Pamplemousse Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago We seem to be quite good at home (in the league) so I'll go for a routine 3-1 victory

die Mannyschaft Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Draw 1-1. Based on last two games, think tactics will revert to sit back as much as possible and wast as much time holding the ball. Larin to score.
SouthWalesSaints Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Good ticket sales, only 1000-1500 left. Need a top atmosphere and hopefully a good home week of 6 points puts us right in the mix. Watching wolves struggle at Birmingham has cheered me up, no one other than West Ham are ahead of us in terms of quality. Hope TE can get us going.

Sorry to say it, and it won’t be popular, but I reckon Middlesbrough are up there this season. Appear to have made some good signings. But previous years they’ve started well and faltered. Can only hope. 2

When did you see this quality you’re talking about? We lost to Watford who haven’t won since, edged past Stoke and were outplayed by Birmingham and Lincoln. We looked good against Millwall but they also got pumped at home by Wrexham in the next game. I think we’ve been incredibly average, the likes of Swansea and Boro look far far more convincing 3

Really good sales helped by more sensible pricing, I decided to take the kids as more affordable Swansea have sold just over 700 apparently which is pretty good for them midweek Edited 8 hours ago by Football Special

Definitely one I would have listened to at home before the offer.
Toussaint Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Interesting game this one, Swansea looked really good against us at their place last season, very dangerous. We win and we will be somewhat placated regarding the stuttering start to the season, anything less and the natives will be asking question and getting a bit restless.
Willo of Whiteley Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago 0-0 written all over this followed by a weekend defeat to Bristol City. 1
benjii Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Win these 2 home games and we will have earned 14 points from 7 games, which is a good start in anyone's book. So let's be positive.

Wade Garrett Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Eckert needs to up his game. Stop worrying about upsetting players - play your best team and if any whinging cunts come knocking your door tell them to do their talking on the pitch. Team need to up the energy levels. We were slow and ponderous yesterday and lots of square passing was down to a lack of movement. Fuckers need a rocket up their arse. 3

Willo of Whiteley Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago He’ll get to half time and then start thinking about the subs ahead of the next one, regardless of the score.
AlexLaw76 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago What ever striker starts will be subbed at 60-or-so mins Dobbin and Edozie to come on... Maybe Wood/Stephens

Top of the league, and one of the better trips for them. I’m only 10 mins closer and I do it 23 times per season. The Welsh clubs do have poor support.

They reckon 800 now but that might be pushing it, certainly will be at least 2000+ empty seats in that away corner. They brought some small followings in recent years, like that fa cup game that was moved to a Sunday evening for bbc Wales Still be a decent atmosphere hopefully Some thoughts from the opposition- https://www.jackarmyforum.com/d/904-the-match-thread-saints-v-swans-745pm-tues-8th-sept-26-efl-ch/29
