New right back on loan?

no it would be a waste of time and money, would rather see a kid out of the youth setup given a chance. It's not like we have anything but pride left to play for.

Depends if and when the management give up on the play-offs (they may privately, already have but still going for them publicly). Could be good to give Sam Argent a run in the team to see if he's ready. I suspect we'll neither get a loan nor give a youngster a run. I think James will revert to being our RB until Otsemebor is ready to return.

Seaborne could cover at RB or Perry

Seaborne can cover at left back for Mills and Harding can stay a right back.

We have James as a cover at RB if absolutely necessary unless his ankle isn't quite right. I expect us to line up for the JPT final as we did yesterday though, well in respect of ful backs anyway. Connolly in for Barnard and perhaps Papa for Puncheon.

I bet you would of wet yourself with excitement if Harding had played a sh*tter yesterday.

But then again there is no real reason for that to happen. You could put most pro footballers in any position on the pitch (apart from in goal) and they'd do a reasonable job, maybe not brilliant but reasonable.

Sorry but I completely disagree, I somehow cannot see Jaidi even doing a job on the wing.

Or Lallana holding up at CB.

Isn't Seaborne cup-tied?

Wouldn't be surprised if James plays on Tuesday to perhaps prove his fitness.

Maybe also Oxlade Chamberlain will start in front of him in midfield, with Puncheon switched to the left and Lallana rested.

Or an Argent/James combo?

No. The team will not be changed anymore than it needs to be.

It will be the same as saturday with perhaps Jaidi coming in for Seabourne.

Seeing as I think we still have a lot to play for, it follows that I dont agree that such a move would be a waste of time.

We must not rely on Llloyd James. Is Semi really so badly injured ?

Do you think AP may dip into the loan market for an emergency right back?

Do we actually have any fit players in that position (excluding make-shifts)?

Not such a dumb idea...IMHO.

Lloyd James never really filled the bill at RB, (so AP won't want to revert to that) and having brought in

" Semi " for Murty in the first place...now we have Thomas injured, too.

Reports said Harding didn't look comfortable at RB, and whilst Mills is good cover at LB - should he get injured

we have a bigger problem! We could do worse than bring in a Prem./ CCC reserve to cover us for the last 10 games.

Realistically we are not going up this season, if AP keeps Harding at RB and Mills at LB on Tuesday and it works then theres no reason why he wont keep this again for Wembley with Jaidi back in the middle if fit.

I'd be surprised if we bring someone else in at RB at this time of the season.

The only other 'experienced' alternatives are Simon Gillett and Paul Wotton - both of whom have played there before I believe but one would be too small and one would be too slow. James is the obvious choice but he's pretty woeful there to be honest.

I haven't been following the progress of the academy or the reserves at all, this season, but talking of the young O-C, how did he get to being on the bench in recent matches..? Do we have a young starlet in the making..?

Through the medium of mime?

Nice day in old Weymouth?

Any early grockles?

Looks like the Terras are doomed.

Not too bad today, sun has been blasting us all the last week or so but it was a bit milder.

None of "them" yet, thank god. Only the saga holidays who have just left.

And as for the Terras, completely f*cked. Should never have gone professional. It ruined them.

Play offs are still a realistic possibility and i'm sure the owners know this so we still have this as a target this season and not just pride. As for right back Harding cdajfu

Realistic? Apart from the fact that there are 3 teams between Saints and the Playoffs, to get into the top six requires at least two of the teams currently in the top six to lose nearly half of their remaining games. Overall 5 clubs that have played well all season have to begin playing more like relegation candidates. A loan RB would make no difference to the season's outcome so why should the club incur the cost when there are already far too many players in the squad? Answer - they won't.

As I mentioned above.

it's only sense to consider the possibility of a loan player at RB.

There are lots of bodies, sitting on the bench in CCC and even Prem.clubs who would relish the thought of getting in a dozen games before the end of the season - without necessarily expecting a permanent move.

Why not ?

I may get slaughtered for saying this but what about Gillett??

Im sure he could fill the void at right back temporarily?? He's got pace, works hard, chases well, tackles and doesn't require his height much.

If I were Pards, i'd give it a go! - he may become more regular if he performed well.

I would seriously consider slaughtering you for such a comment.

sorry - but when did Gillett last have pace? :D

he wouldn't do a job there anyway, not good enough for either CM - pard's has made that clear.

In his pre-match interview pardew did actually say he is considering bringing at RB in on loan, so i guess we'll watch this space.

Chris Baird back for a one off game. Job done.

I expect he's far more excited about the Wolfsburg game with Fulham next week . He's got a cup replay tomorrow, a run of the mill EPL game on Saturday and the Wolfsburg next Thursday so I guess he can give the JPT a miss without any great chagrin.

a bit nostalgic perhaps but a nice idea, especailly as Baird was some peoples

MOM at Wembley 2003.

Most unlikely as Roy Hodgson was praising him after their win over Juventus.

(He came to us as a 16 year old and it took 5 years for him to get his debut game and then he was still ignored by numerous managers.???

Seems like AP may be thinking this as well, he is certainly suggesting Gillett may play on Sunday on the OS, maybe not at RB though.

If a loan player was brought in to play in a Wembley final it could well cause massive dissension in the dressing room. I think the suggestion of Gillett is a decent fourth choice punt and quicker than the out of position pedestrian James. Less likely to cross from the halfway line.

I think after two wins with Harding we will go that way unless Thomas is fit.
