Mong Fans!!

The reporter didn't say he stayed away for that reason she mentioned that this "Could" have been the reason. A big difference!

Yeah, it means they don't know either, but it makes a better story without having to get any facts through, you know, proper journalism.

Someone needs to clarify this situation as Marcus Liebherr is making himself look a twit.

How's he "making himself look a twit"? He aint said anything, like always, it's everyone else spectulating/bullsh*tting doing that.

The Beeb are enjoying their love-in with the blue few just now and we're just getting the lazy reporting bit.

I think this stems from a throw away comment somebody at the club said to Adam Blackmore during the game and he has reported it as gospel. He wouldn't have stayed away because he was angry at not making the play-offs but he may have decided that because it was basically a dead rubber and because of the ash cloud, it wasn't worth firing up the private jet for.

How is he?

All he has done is not go to a game.

The media and fans on places like this forum are the ones filling in the rest.

It may or may not be correct but the air restrictions is the most likely reason he missed the game.

He has no reason to explain every move he makes and rumours that grow from them!

On "South Today" it was Chris Temple who did the voice-over and HE definitely said that ML didn`t attend as a protest that we didn`t make the play-offs.

Right so multi-billionaire successful businessman has part of his business that isn't performing.....

..... so he stays away in a Didier Drogba style sulk!!!

Yeah - of course he does

So I guess that means he won't be at the last game next season either, as we won't have made the play-offs again :(

Shame really because it will mean him missing the presentation of the league champions trophy :)

I have full faith in ML not being so small-minded as to stay away out of spite. That sort of behaviour from the top man is thankfully long gone.

nothing whatsoever to do with Swiss airspace being closed on saturday then? Why have a simple explanation when a conspiracy theroy will do. Funny how he didn't stay away in protest for the Carlise game when Swiss airspace was open and we hadn't made the play offs.

If you dignify crap journalistic speculation with comment then you're down at their level.

Our management shows no sign of stooping down that low, thank f*ck...business conducted in private is a breath of fresh air in a game where even moron administrators want to be celebrities...& I mean the profession not the site owners before I get infracted! :-)

It seems that Swiss airspce was NOT closed on Saturday.

Swiss airspace remains open - 9 May

Sunday 9, May 2010

A new extension of the ash cloud produced by the volcanic eruption in Iceland has reached parts of Europe again. This has disrupted flight operations in some regions and forced a few airports to temporarily close.

The airspace over Switzerland has not been affected so far and remains open. SWISS is maintaining close contact with the authorities here, to ensure that it can inform everyone involved of any change in the current situation.

SWISS is confident that its flight operations can continue virtually unaffected. The expansion of the volcanic ash cloud over the North Atlantic is, however, adding some 60 to 90 minutes to flights to and from the USA and Canada, in view of the new routings required.

This rumour mill is worse than last summer and we are onlytwo days into the close season!! Remember this, speculation and controversy sells media. The totally professional way that NC goes about his business must really wrankle with the local reporters andthe only stories they can generate are hearsay and Chinese whispers!

Virtually every it of "news" concerning Saints will bereported first on the official site and therfore "exclusives" are few and far between. This is not something papers in particular like!! There areeven those on here who think that FACTS will be stated on here first!

I for one hope that the OS is always the source of thefactsand sites like this will bea source of rumour and banter and that the rumours are treated as such.

Supporting Saints has never been straight forward but for once oursummer could be one of excitement, building the team and squad for the promotion challenge next season. Instead, all this negative gossip reminds me of times I hoped would not return for a very long time!!!

FWIW I do t belive the rumours about ML or AP and hope Im not proven wrong!!!!!

Why the **** would he stay away "as a protest". Doesn't make any sense at all.

It's his club FFS and he clearly enjoys coming to matches. If he wants to show his displeasure about something he can do it easily - by sacking the manager, for example - he wouldn't have some silly temper tantrum.

No, he actually said that he DID stay away for that reason.

He also said that P*mpey fans all feel an injustice against their club for the position they find themselves in.

Great reporting.

2 days after the events and still no denial

been in the local (and some national) news...rumours are rife and not a word of denial from the club

even the response about the programme issue was obviously a "party line"

interesting

Actions speak louder than words. NC is not one to be manipulated by the media. Come Thursday we'll know a bit more I suspect.
