Hartlepool build-up

Another weekend without football, may as well look forward to Tuesday now!

Due a fair bit of rain up there, what are the chances of that being off? Would be extremely ****ed off if it was.

Heavy rain/sleet forecast for Hartlepool all day today but Sunday/Monday/Tuesday looking dry.

Meh, Lallana has had an extra 4 days to get fit after injury, should be a walk in the park. 3-1 Saints, Lambert to open the scoring on 12 minutes with a penalty, Guly to bang in a 30 yarder after 63 minutes, and Lallana to complete the rout on 69 minutes with a simple tap in following good work by Fonte. (Although there will be suspicions of offside.) Sweeney to score for them on 89, an undeserved consolation. MOTM Lallana.

"I had a dream"? Extraordinary foresight!

Snow

It is true temperatures have dropped - but I don't think snow is on the cards in Hartlepool this week! I am expecting more rain - but I think snow in Hartlepool is rare as it is on the coast!

Still will know more around 5pm on Tuesday night when I set off from York!

Even though it has been a good week without us playing I am still a little bit worries about the set of fixtures coming up on Tuesday, and the fact that Hartlepool beat Charlton yesterday.

I think that Brighton, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Peterborough, and MK Dons will ALL win on Tuesday, thus meaning we really need to to win. IF we can also win and then on Saturday I think we will make up some ground on some at the top. I think Bouremouth will win, but Brighton have a tricky trip to MK.

If fit:

Davis, Butterfield, Jaidi, Fonte, Dickson,

OXC,Morgan, Chaplow,Lallana,

Ricky, Barnard.

Subs;New goalie, Guly, Connolly, Martin, Harding, Nguessan.

Think gulys better than barnard but has been a bit off recently and just have an inkling.

Yep I agree about Guly. That's the starting line up I expect to see, except Harding will start in place of Dickson imo

You would drop Hammond from the squad entirely?

He has been fantastic for us in the last few weeks

I emailed Hartlepool today to ask if the game was in any danger of being postponed. Here is their response.

Good Morning

We are in receipt of your recent email regarding the above.

Please be advised we do not anticipate any problems for our game tomorrow, we have not had any snow and it is a dry day today.

Best Regards

For and on behalf of

Hartlepool United FC

Think the flcould have made sure we had a close away game as its half term. Dont understand them some times. Kids could have gpne if it was say a yeovil or bristol rovers or brentford.

Its a rearranged match was originally going to be on the 4th December so not sure how the FL could have made sure it was a close away game.

Football being football - SWFC could well turn over Bournemouth - this game has upset written all over it!Not worried about Huddersfield result - but could do with Colchester and Peterborough drawing or even a Colchester win!

None of this matters of course as IF we win tomorrow - we did our bit!

Away wins all round would be nice looking at that fixture list (Udders aside). Owls, Daggers and Us will be tough fixtures, even if Plymouth wont be. I'd say we have one of the easier ties actually. I will be optimistic and predict a Saints win and Posh and Bompey drop points.

I'd play:

Davis

Butters - Fonte - Martin - Harding

Guess - Hammond - Chaplow - Lallana

Lambert - Barnard

Subs: Arsenal chap, Jaidi, Dickson, Morgan, Guly, Forte, AOC

You say that, but with Plymouth going into administration it could kick them on a bit possibly?
