Some interesting stats / graphs

We are definitely peaking at the right time! I don't know what i would do if we were nose diving like bompey.

Its amazing how consistent Brighton have been this season, and I can't believe Orient might scrape into the playoffs based on that graph - just goes to show all you need is to go on a bit of a run...

First four home games are the sole reason we aren't home and dry.

That and the fact that with so many games postponed we will be playing catch up in terms of games played until the last week of the season. Without that, and assuming that we continued to take the 2 points per match on average we would currently be 4 points clear of Huddersfield in second with 5 games left, and with three of those 5 at home. I'd be fairly confident in that situation.

It'll cost us as we won't be Champs but I can live with that.

Agreed, if we get 2nd that will do. Also means we can start strengthening for the Championship that bit earlier ! I am sure that because Norwich won the league so early they were able to prepare well for their current successful season.

I would like to see the graph adjusted so that it showed what the position would be if all the teams had played the same number of games. Might be a bit more work to compile. :)

We would have gone 2nd on week 32, 5th March after we beat Colchester away, had no games been postponed. We would have remained there until today with 2 games in hand still.

In our first 6 games, we drop a total of 16 points - at a shocking rate of 2.33 a game.

In our next 33 games, we drop just 27 points - at a decent rate of a mere 0.82 a game.

Our improvement would look even more impressive, I think, if the vertical axis was "average points per game".

Dear God, will the spread of Excel never end?

It was bad enough in Corporate America, but now the disease has spread to TSW.

Ban the bstds!

Haha! I didn't make these graphs, that would require more time and energy than I can even imagine... I merely 'found' them.
