Looks like someone hada 'riiiiiiiight skinfull' and got chucked out early! Surely no way anyone could get back this quickly without breaking some speed limits in a very fast car or the average bike. Our fans sounded awesome as usual.

Was there a pitch invasion?

no...a couple of fans ran on the pitch when we scored our 2nd...and got thrown out..

saints fans were getting ejected all around the ground and it was causing a bit of agro in one of the stands...

at the final whistle, there were too many police with evil dogs to go on the pitch..

Definitely a good thing there was no pitch invasion or it would have been like world war 3!! Some girl got bricked apparently outside the ground. Few things being throw towards the saints fans as we were leaving. Apart from that. FANTASTIC day! Decent performance, Connolly just oozes class! Top atmosphere!! WE ARE GOING UP!!!

TDD, lucky you for getting back so fast, took me an age to get to St Budeaux...

But what a day, atmosphere was fantastic.

Think this has been my best birthday by far :)

Finally get out of this division, onwards and upwards :)

Just got in from post match celebrations. Was a quality atmosphere. Shame it all kicked off. The brick just missed me as well apparently (I didnt see it) saw a few kids about 13 years old running from Police as they went down to see who threw it.

A day I will never forget.

when our first went in...I looked over and saw some bloke getting completely battered by the stewards and another chap legging it towards the saints fans...at first, I thought they were argyle fans kicking off..but it was clear soon enough there were a fair few saints fans over there..

then im sure someone was being escorted out by the dugout....

they had no where near as much trouble when newcastle were in this scenario with them last season...

I'd assume Plymouth fans would be less tolerant of Saints in the home end than geordies, no?

a bit of trouble in the home sections when saints fans were "outed"

Felt sorry for the lad in the purple top when he was outed, nowhere to go, Plymouth all around him, he took a beating. Police and Stewards couldn't even get past them all to pull him out.

Great result slightly overshaddowed by some aggro and a nasty atmosphere at Home Park.

Football Factory was on TV last night, and it seemed that lots of retarded Plymouth and Saints fans wanted to be Danny Dyer this afternoon.

I left a bit early as the riot police and their land sharks were brougth out, as did not fancy being held in after the game for ages.

Still, looking forward to the Championship and stuffing Pompey twice next season.

Still not sure if he was Saints fan or Exeter, we were 5 rows behind him in the Lyndhurst stand, and at first all the talk from around us was he was a Exeter fan, the police saw everyone rushing towards him but didnt act quick enough..

wasnt the easiest to stay quiet for 90 mnutes but we wouldnt have missed it for the world, just a case of respecting the plymouth fans and not goading them by celebrating when we scored... Awesome day though and Saints fans in that away end - kept looking across dying to be in amongst you but you were superb! Bring on the party next Saturday

He could not have been more central with absolutely no where to go. I thought the stewards did a bloody great job to help him and they themselves took a few punches as a result. Boy was there some cowardly punches from behind. When the stewards took him down the tunnel just to the right of me he didn't seem to have any cuts or bruises and he started singing along with the Saints so that has to be a good sign.

According to the Plymouth forum, some of their fans throwing bricks is punishment for a small proportion of our fans singing, "Going Down".

Another one says that they have a new rival in us.

No cnance of that with the amount of wild dogs the OB had with them.

Just back home got stuck by Stonehenge..Christ what a great day out Connolly shot/lob was unlucky not to score. Still back to work tomorrow.....oh yer the police dogs keep all the t-sser of the pitch at the end of the match

i spoke to a few Plymouth fans in the pub before the game and they were all thoroughly decent people who love their club and are devastated by what has happened at boardroom level (any of this sounding familiar?).... tbf i thought that the song was in very bad taste....there,but for the grace go God, go us (again!)....

Must admit I thought the going down song was needless and a bit nasty from a few of our brainless morons but then a section of the Lyndhurst stand were keen to bait us which they are forgetting. 40-50 of their idiots also sang Adam Stansfield songs at Exeter on Saturday. I hope Plymouth survive to start afresh next season and had sympathy with their plight today but I've heard too much of this "Southampton fans visit your town and are evil" recently and Plymouth fans have an equally nasty element - just ask the Exeter fans they battered in the JPT and I remember them gobbing off in numbers before a 0-0 draw at SMS "How the mighty have fallen" etc.

What a bloody marvellous day that was :) All the saints fans totally outsung the rest of the stadium (did the plymouth fans even sing one song?)

The police applauded the saints fans when they walked off, which I actually thought was good of them. Not that anyone was going to try and get past them and their mean machines.

Was brilliant to see the players so happy and letting themselves go at the end. Completely different behaviour to the end of the brentford game where they remained professional and fully focused ready for this game (I admit I thought they didn't actually care much)

Connolly didnt like the "back from the dead" song and made the crowd change it to his usual one lol

Did I hear that Cortese was on the pitch?? Didn't see him.

Brilliant stuff. Cant wait for next season now...

I saw that, her Dad went mental. He looked like a right solid bloke, the brick thrower mustve been ****ing themselves as he tried to get through the police.

Otherwise - an awesome day out! :)
