As much as i would love to believe the entire 32k are going to watch us and cheer us on i somehow think not. I think a very large % of that crowd are going for the first time in years and are not staying away because of Lowe or anything like that, more to do with the fact they want to watch the european and english league champions. If we had been drawn against Maccesfield would we have had a full house? If we had been drawn against Wolves? Nope. It is nothing to do with peoples opinions on Lowe simply down to wanting to watch United.

Victor Posted 22 December, 2008 Share Posted 22 December, 2008 Having a go at the "plastic" fans is pathetic. We're not all juveniles with no family responsibilities and with nothing to spend our pocket money on except booze and footie. Some of us live miles from Southampton, many have to provide rent-free homes for you kids, have other interests in life, have elderly or sick relations to visit/look after, have jobs to do. I had a ticket for the Forest game but couldn't use it as I was too ill. Of course people will make a special effort to see MU, but most are hoping to see Saints beat them (however unlikely) - they are not going just to SEE MU. If you have to pick and chose your games you will obviously pick those that will give you a lift. Given how I felt, I'm bloody glad I DIDN'T go on Saturday. I would still like to go to every game for the rest of the season, but I can't. And I haven't got a ticket for the MU game, incidentally. I am disappointed by the attendances for recent league games, but grow up, and use your imaginations.

I've been to 4 (yes4!) home games this season and we have got progressively worse.saturday was a joke, playing 1 up front and only having 1 striker on the bench ( BWP ffs) AT HOME is complete sh1te. Where are the protests, where are the demonstrations, where is the passion i, and probably hundreds of others (once had) have for this club. I know I am not alone in this loss of love for our GREAT CLUB.( oh also, i wasn't there for my Man U ticket, not going, just as well cos after that on saturday it could well be a record score, even with their reserves, does that make me a bad fan? It is more than a sad state of affairs, it is bloody pathetic. These so called Southampton supporters should be ashamed of themselves. As far as I am concerned they can all f*** off and support Manchester United in the whore house of money that is the premier league permanently. I dont normally post here but I do read alot of the posts and this has really boiled my blood. The suggestion that people stay away from our home games because Rupert Lowe is Chairman is a disgrace. I fully understand the dissapointment and frustration of the situation but being a supporter means backing the club and more inportantly the players regardless. So a message to all the people going to the Manchester United game that dont normally attend, get behind the club NOW while you still can. I just wish I was living in England so that there was at least 1 more person in attendance. COYR
