Benassi is quite a talented little player. thought he stood out in the Italy game the other night against Portugla. We'll have a good look at him during the U21 match with England.

I didn't ever think he was gettable though, as isn't he under some sort of co-ownership between Inter and another club? Can't see Inter letting him go.

Scored against England tonight...

How did he play?

He's looked good, but a leg amputee would tonight against our lot who have been terrible.

I thought he was a defensive midfielder but Italy deployed him on the left of a midfield three and he has looked capable both defensively and going forward. A bit like Steven Davis. But this is the first time I've ever seen him play so he may normally play in a different position and have a different style.

Inter are close to finalising a deal for Marseille’s Giannelli Imbula.

The deal would see the player join the Italians on a one-year loan for 1 million euros with an option to buy for 18 millions euros.

Imbula, who has made seven appearances for France at U21 level and has been dubbed “the next Patrick Viera”, has been previously linked with Arsenal and Southampton.

From Sky Sports.

I have never seen him play and don't know what he will earn at Inter, but if he is as good as everyone says then isn't that deal a little on the low side?

Are they buying him as well as Kondogbia?! Strange.

I've got a bone on finally if this is true for Georgie watch:

"Courted by the biggest names from the championship of France (Marseille, Monaco and Paris SG), Georginio Wijnaldum (24 years) in England also interested. Newcastle and Southampton would enlist the Dutch international, and the Saints would even gone on the offensive.

Indeed, as reported by the Guardian , Southampton PSV have offered more than € 15 million to secure the services of their midfield, author of 14 goals in this season Eredevisie. Stay tuned."

Edit - I'm so convinced I've changed my avatar. Him Claise and Vilhena are awesome options.

Would be awesome if true. Can you find the Guardian story though?!

Squad-wise, I'd trade Wijnaldum for Ramirez & Djuricic any day of the week.

Wow, Georginio the new viagra!!

Now this one makes a lot of sense, ticks a lot of the right boxes.

RK has coached him before, can play multiple position, huge potential at a good age, 24, player of the year, capped international, wants to come to PL.

If this kid isn't on our list I would be shocked!! If we are looking at better, then I would be ecstatic because this kid is really good.

That french article makes no sense. It refers to a supposed Guardian article about a bid from Southampton that doesn't exist.

The only Wijnaldum related news on the Guardian website alleges that Sunderland have submitted a bid of 15m euros for him.

Maybe they've confused the 2 clubs.

Red and white stripes, both start with S.

The reason I am promoting him so hard is that last season I went out of my way to watch more feyanoord/ajax and PSV games thinking that is where I expected us to do a lot of shopping and whilst there are a lot of players out there who would not look out of place here (like the Feyanoord CBs of Kongbia and Van Beek) GW always stood out and in my eyes but was pushed very hard by Clasie for the influence he has on the team with both players having ethical standards that aren't driven by money which is prevalent among the current english players.

GW stood out in the PSV team with Depay et al and won player of the year in the Eredevisie, if we could get him as AM, Clasie to replace Morgan and Tonny V as an option from the bench for the price of 1 Morgan then we still have the 15mil to lump Tobys way and potentially would have a net spend of around 10mil after Cedric and Juanmi for the summer with some wicked replacements.

Saints and Bologna interested in Benassi from Torino who now have full ownership of him, according to Di Marzio.

He also says that West Ham are close to signing Abdennour from Monaco. What a signing that would be for them.

That's good. I guess it depends on whether he favours staying in Italy or playing in the Prem.

"De Telegraaf" are saying Clasie is not Koeman's first choice to replace Schneiderlin

http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/voetbal/feyenoord/24206625/__Clasie_niet_op_1_bij_Southampton__.html?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=twitter

Clasie not 1 at Southampton

Jordy Clasie is not at Southampton at number one when it comes to monitoring the departing star player morgan schneiderlin. The captain of Feyenoord may now be sold allround midfielder Marko Vejinovic 3.5 million euros were raised.

Coach Giovanni Bronkchorst however, like to start the new season with Vejinovic and Clasie. The coach of the Orange International still sees as a capital gain. At the same time he, like technical director Martin van Geel, understanding the ambitions of Clasie who

Ronald Koeman has honestly told that his club has several players in mind for the midfield position. "Jordy does not automatically number one, '' said Koeman, who remains charmed by Clasie. But the transfer market is still more than two months open and the possibilities for Clasie may arise when determining clubs their dream candidates can not bring in. It means that Clasie must show patience and that patience the player.

What a badly translated article. Basically is says Clasie can be sold now that Feyenoord bought midfielder Marko Vejinovic for 3.5 million euros.

Coach van Bronckhorst wants Clasie to stay but he understands Clasie's ambitions and if he wants to leave.

Koeman remains charmed by Clasie but the midfielder isn't #1 as replacement. This means Clasie has to be patient as clubs sort out their options, but patience is something he has so no worries.

Would also be a good negotiating tactic to make out there are others.

Don't know if its been posted yet but there was an Italian article this morning saying Lazio were close to or want to bring in Clasie and Jetro Williams. http://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercato/26-06-2015/lazio-rinforzi-olanda-jordy-clasie-feyenoord-willems-psv-eindhoven-joop-lensen-hoedt-radu-sampdoria-120325527138.shtml
