 They haven't signed either player yet, and they're automatically going to be better than us.

Didn't we have this with QPR last season? oh...and Norwich the season before?....and WHU the season before that? Never mind.

cabeye is all but signed, according to reports in the media

Stoke signing Marco van Ginkel as part of Begovic deal. Good business.

He's a good player, thought he was wanted back at Milan. That awful injury he had came at such a crap time though, totally ruined his Chelsea opportunities. Will be interesting to see what he can do with some game time.

And secondly, what a waste of a quality goal keeper.

That deal kind of somes up everything wrong with modern football in a way.

A keeper nearing his prime leaving to get Paid to sit on a bench.

Talented youngster not given a chance at a big club.On a side note if Stoke replace nzonzi well they do looks good for next season

Scott Dann is set for a new contract worth around £65,000-a-week at Crystal Palace, according to the Express.

The centre-back has two years left to run on his current deal but will be rewarded for his excellent form from last season.

Everton are among the clubs to have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old this summer.

^ This is neither here or there, but £65k!!!!!!?!?!!?!?!

65k pw for Scott Dann? Why not give a contract like that to a better player?

Palace signing Cabaye is very frustrating. I wonder why we didn't go in for him, would have been a good replacement for Morgan and a big, exciting signing. Anyone else slightly baffled. Also him going to Palace is equally frustrating as we haven't lost out to a big club but a bloody smaller one than us.

Oh well.

One look at QPRs wage bill should be enough to show you higher wages does not necessarily guarantee you better players. Cabaye is 29 so a 4 year deal will see them straddled with a 32/33 year old earning 100k a week with no resale value and little incentive to move on

Too bad for van Ginkel. He's a great talent but I don't believe that Stoke is the right choice for him considering the way they usually play. He should have stayed in Holland for a couple of years to become a key player for Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV and then make a move abroad. It wouldn't surprise me if this goes wrong, just like van Wolfswinkel at Norwich.

What is the difference between Palace paying Cabaye £100k a week and us paying Ramirez and Osvaldo over £100k a week between them? TV money means small clubs can pay big wages.

And if they are not playing in Europe, they can lose up to 35 million pounds a year under Financial Fair Play so long as the owner puts the money back in.

The Sterling saga is a sight to behold. Really enjoying it.

Almost a carbon copy of the sort of crap Liverpool enouraged from Lallana and Lovren last summer.

What goes around comes around.

Of course, the Scousers just feel sorry for themselves as the ramp up the abuse in the national media again...

I just don't understand Delph. He is ok, but not a world beater. He's not going to get into that City team ahead of the likes of Toure, Silva, Fernadinho. So he's becoming a squad player for no reason other than $$$$$. Scott Sinclair/Jack Rodwell mk2. When will these guys learn...?

He is quite clearly squad fodder for being homegrown, but I guess every player backs themselves to make an impact and has faith in their own abilities to do so - whether that is misplaced or not.

Delph is 25 now, so not really that young, but shouldn't be happy about being on the bench though.

Another reason this rule should be looked at. The home-grown rule was brought in to protect the England team and to ensure the squads aren't overloaded with Foreign. All it has created is a situation where the 'Top clubs' fill the squad with English players, but never play them - just so they fill the quota. It's made the entire situation 10x worse.

Big Jos have found a new club after being released by Saints. He today signed a 2 1/2 year contract with AIK Stockholm - the club he left 2009 for Celtic - then Saints.

AIK's fans are really exited about Jos coming "home" and to be honest Swedish league is probably where's his standard is and he will not let anyone down that's for sure.

I think I speak for the majority in wishing him all the best. He's a very likable guy and was a great signing for us. Bagged about 8 (?) goals in our promotion season and was a rock at the back next to Jose.

Given all the defensive players United have or in the process of buying do you think they at loan Luke shaw back to us ?

Do we want him back?

They haven't brought in any left backs or been linked to any that Ive seen.

Its more likely Dany N'Guessan wins the Balon d'OR next season than Shaw coming back here on loan.
