He basks in the reflected "glory" of strong autocratic leaders, wishing he was able to exert the sort of control that they have. He absolutely adores Kim Jong Un, and is jealous of the fawning sycophancy that his followers demonstrate.

Donnie rejects Iran's proposal for opening the Strait, saying "We are in complete control. Massive amounts of oil are passing through". 

About 1/6 of the usual traffc is transitting the Strait on a good day.
