SR just need to keep SFC as their core club but recognise they can’t run it for toffee. It needs an independent experienced UK CEO, Parsons is more an Ops Director and a decent one despite one poster’s views, DoF and first team manager. That group decides solely on the recruitment, SR can put options forward but ultimately final decisions always rest with the SFC Board.

This is the only way to get the club back on an even keel and stop the financial bleeding from SR’s perspective. Given the reluctance at SR Board to admit and write off mistakes, I won’t hold my breath and expecting a consecutive relegation tbh.

Semmens was an incredible bullshitter for sure.  He convinced many he was great because he spoke well but he landed us with this lot, and he was behind the Gao takeover too.  He was the architect of where we find ourselves and no mistake.

Exactly how I see it. Not sure about being dodgy, just seems incredibly naive and too trusting of the current arseholes running the club day to day.

Does anyone seriously have a clue how this lot operate? What on earth are they trying to achieve other than totally ruining our football club? What was their track record before the brilliant Martin Semmens decided that they were the perfect fit for us? Solak seems to stump up all the cash but what say does he have in terms of the accountability of SR members running Southampton FC? Can he sack them or force them to change their philosophy which seems to be buy low sell high - that's working well! We seem to be stuck with a bunch of no-hopers but I can't figure out how we get them out because it seems to be a closed shop where they can carry on making poor decisions and nobody bats an eyelid. It's gone on for over 3 years now. When is it going to end? Until it does we are on a downward spiral.

Solak has the final say on everything, whether he chooses to have that say is a different matter. If he wants Still or Rasmussen or anyone else out they are out.

I’d love to see a recording if the meeting where they all  discussed who should be our next manager and came to the conclusion that it’s best to give the job to someone who’s more experienced in PlayStation football than Championship. Or the meeting why they decided how to blow all the parachute millions on new players but decided our goalkeepers were just fine as they were.

These bunch of data driven goons are way past the point of no return for me. They've got every single big decision as horribly wrong as they could since taking over and I'm very concerned about the prospects of them overseeing another relegation within the next two years, but this time from the Championship.

The warning signs were there from their very first transfer window, they spent the money but the focus was on signing crap squad players for over their market value, the relegation that year was eaaily avoidable if they had focused on signing quality over quantity.

Fast forward 2025 and nothing has changed. These clueless cunts couldn't even find an upgrade on Che fucking Adams.

Jander will likely make us some very good money at the end of next season.

Azaz, Fellows, Welington and Robinson will likewise make us a healthy return in the next two seasons.

Your issue is that the measurements you use for success - points, league position, which league we play in - are not aligned with Sport Republic during the greatest era of our lives.

When I picture SR discussing our results, planning the next steps, and Still’s position this image crops up in my mind.

I’m not talented enough on the IT to add Spors head but you get the idea.

 

Not sure who the second head would be, Rasmus , Dyson bloke, or over the last few months even Dragan has become a candidate. Buffoonery is one thing SFC isn’t short of.
