Former Villa player puts in a shift against Birmingham.

Let’s see if he brings the same attitude to other matches. Based on what we’ve seen so far, I’m not holding my breath.

He must still really love Villa because it was like he was playing for them when we played at Villa Park last year.

Better option off the bench than Downs, that's for sure.

I’d expect a bit more for the money we spent, than his only redeeming feature being “better option off the bench than Downs”.

Then I feel like you might end up pretty disappointed

Think you’re probably right. I’m surprised some are enthused by his performance yesterday. In fairness he did bring a bit of needle to the game from a local West Midlands grievance and more willingness to run than often seen but no surprise he ballsed up his decent chance which his pace had helped create.

Didn’t do enough to take himself out of the ‘waste of money, waste of space’ category in my book.

Yeah mirrors my thoughts.  Fast, but that just means he gets to miss sooner than if he didn't have any pace.

I have to disagree because I saw signs that made me think he'll do much better under Tonda and we need to factor in that he hasn't played much.  I'd like to cut him some slack and see how he does in the next few games.
