Just goes to show, never believe what you read. This must've been pretty much wrapped up when Ryan Mason was doing his press conference.

Some of the takes on the Spors thread looks spectacularly bad now. As ever, 90% of transfer business is done in the last 10 days of August but its looks like we have been laying the groundwork of this for a long time and just waiting for the pieces to fall into place.

Sign Scienza and don't lose anyone else and it looks pretty decent and certainly one of the top two squads on paper. Over to Will Still and the players then...

Spors took some shit on here at the weekend and hes delivered a couple of great signings in the space of 1 day. Hopefully we can add another two or so by Monday evening - as well as clearing out Aribo, BBD, Edozie and ABK (if he hasnt already gone)

3 most important incomings taken care off. Scienza would be nice but apparently quite far appart on valuation at the moment. When the fallback option is Jay Robinson I don't feel quite so bad on that one.

Well, he may have been a bit over-confrontational in the way he worded it, but @Pwoite was absolutely right. Some of the bed wetting, particularly on the George Young thread, looks hilariously premature after today's announcements. Some very large slices of humble pie in order, it would appear.

I thought a deal for Edozie was all but wrapped up weeks ago. Wonder what happened there then?

Club hinting to Alfie that we're done on incomings, focus now switches to shifting out some of these squad players. It will still be a busy few days!

I think that's the signing relaint on players going due to squad size. We need Edozie, Aribo, BBD and co out of the door before we can contemplate another addition. If we get all of those deals done, then we may well drop a loan in on deadline day.

I reckon Edozie will end up being reintegrated and we won't need a loan, just my feel.

I still think we should’ve improved between the sticks when Ramsdale left.  Should definitely have gone for the Stoke keeper.

Wonder if there is a surprise departure in the offing? Still wouldn't be surprised if Downes or Armstrong left
