Rejected a bid you say? Don’t fear, we all know what that means!

It says Current position, not an outright No. So you may well be right

West Ham apparently back in to sign Hackney from Boro.

It's a hard sell to the west ham fans that two championship midfielders will save their season

Am I the only one that thinks Guilavogui looks decent for the fee ?

no you're not, again no one had heard of him until a couple of weeks ago but his record looks good for the championship. People seem to be getting themselves all angry about him because Lens fans dont like him, that doesn't mean he isn't any good, looks like he had a decent season in the Bundesliga in a struggling St Pauli team which is a much better gauge.

Do you know what does make me very happy, the wage bill will be very low, certainly compared to last time in this league. Give us the headroom for more next season.

And with the profit from Dibling, Fernandes , Smallbone etc and the dropping of the 2022 transfer window we will be able to piss on PSR.

People seem to forget we’re a Champ team these days

That said we were arguably a champ team last year too

Still hoping they Spring a surprise with a top winger and crossing fingers for a striker even if that chance is remote.

what do you mean by a top winger? Everyones turning their noses up at one who scored 6 goals in 25 games in the Germany last season. Are people expecting better?

That’s bad. That could scupper our deal for Finn azaz

I just read that Man United are looking to buy midfielders after last nights humiliation. I wonder if they might have taken a look at Fernandes, especially with the Amorim links. Might have been able to squeeze a bit more money out of them if we'd held on a few more days

calm down, its not everyone, it's a few people on a football forum who are so used to this club buying shit

Mendes has probably gone round everyone already and only West Ham were interested.

CB is a weird one. Edwards has had a very shaky start but when we hopefully go to a back 4 I think I’d give him another go over Wood or Quarshie.

I don't trust any of our centre backs because all are prone to making stupid errors. However, I'd say Quarshie has shown that he may be a quick learner plus he has bags of pace and I can see him becoming the first pick before long. Wood is a difficult one as he does come across as a bull in a china shop at times but I like his 100% commitment to the cause. THB I'm hoping is just a little ring rusty after his injury and will get better with matches. Stephens would always be my last pick because he never seems aware of danger, he's very slow and has mistakes in him that are often costly. Edwards is quite a good footballing centre half but lacks height and is also very slow. In a two I'd probably go with THB and Quarshie and in a three it'd be those two plus Wood.

As always Captain Jack will be the manager's first pick and one day maybe I'll understand why.

I think you will find you have mis judged Jacks pace, he is pretty quick. All the hype of Edwards I have been disappointed how poor he has been with us, perhaps he is pining for QPR and wants out

Wilcox seems to be doing a sterling job there, he's made a real difference 🙂

Quite a lot going on this morning! Sad about Matty but it’s the reality of the situation. Quite excited by Azaz and Jander. Think we are putting together a more balanced team that will be more efficient at the level. Will be an interesting few days it seems.

Fellows would be a tremendous get. You'd like to think we have enough pull and the funds to make that happen.

Fellows shares an agent with Damion Downs, Ryan Manning, James Bree, Ryan Fraser, Flynn Downes and BBD. We've been in contact with them quite a lot this summer I imagine.

Very simple, if Fernandes wants to leave then let him leave

Exactly. Not sure why everyone is pissing themselves. He was always going to leave. The club were probably naive to announce we wanted 50m for him, just as they did with Dibling. Fact is, we are a recently relegated club, if SR wanted them to stay they shouldn't have fucked up last season so much.

Yeah he probably is quicker than I gave him credit - too slow in mind though which is his major problem.

Does Alfie’s 👀 emoji mean something here?

You’d imagine so, expect he’d leave it alone if there wasn’t something in it.

Lot of work still to be done on that deal - we've done the initial weighing up but we've still got to prepare a bid, make initial enquiries, consider our options, walk away, come back, make second bid and that's without all the work on the player side of things.  Don't forget the player will need to do the same too.  Modern transfers eh?

We bemoaned the lack of creativity despite generating the most xG in the league so far. Bringing in Azaz AND Fellows would be 25 assists from last season. Playmaker and proper winger. I think that would solve the problem.
