macca155 Posted Monday at 14:03 Posted Monday at 14:03 Great title, sums up the season. One last hurrah boys
beatlesaint Posted Monday at 14:09 Posted Monday at 14:09 I’m seriously hoping the fan base let these twats have it with both barrels. Having to watch this shite for the last 9 months has been the worst experience in 50 years of supporting the club. Worse than League One starting on minus 10, worse than Branfoot, worse than Jones, worse than Hughes…… 13
sockeye Posted Monday at 14:13 Posted Monday at 14:13 THIS is the beginning of the greatest era in our history. 9-0 Saints. Ramsdale, Smallbone and Sulemana amongst the goal scorers. Arteta will blame the ball being too round. 1 4
Saint Billy Posted Monday at 14:21 Posted Monday at 14:21 Thank fuck for that, I can actually enjoy Saturdays for a few weeks. 1
Appy Posted Monday at 14:27 Posted Monday at 14:27 Arsenal are exactly the sort of team that will rock up, last day of the season, pressure all off them and hand out an absolute slapping. 0-5
Saint Mikey Posted Monday at 14:28 Posted Monday at 14:28 Anyone know if technically Charles, Edwards or Armstrong have been available to us since the end of their season? Not suggesting it's a good idea, as the group we have is already too big with the likes of Fraser, Gronbaek, ABK and Taylor not getting into the matchday squad. Just wondered if they are back training, or we just said - enjoy your holiday lads and come back next year...
AlexLaw76 Posted Monday at 14:32 Posted Monday at 14:32 Last game thank fuck Last game of Rusk-ball also
die Mannyschaft Posted Monday at 14:40 Posted Monday at 14:40 At Everton someone the fans behind me in top tier in 1st half were complaining the pillar was blocking thier view. Can we get the builders in to install some pillars in Northam before Sunday. Or getthat big flag out. 'Will' the new manager be announced before KO! 2
Whitey Grandad Posted Monday at 14:45 Posted Monday at 14:45 Last game in our season ticket seats. Should we be glad or sad that it has all come to an end? 2

Oldandtired Posted Monday at 15:28 Posted Monday at 15:28 Let’s get it over and done with. Then the usual optimism with new manager, players till the reality check kicks in. Been there, done that.
CSA96 Posted Monday at 15:42 Posted Monday at 15:42 Saints hoping to have Will Still in the stands for this game, according to Echo
Pamplemousse Posted Monday at 15:49 Posted Monday at 15:49 (edited) I genuinely don't care. The only thing irritating thing is having to travel down from London (and back) with Arsenal fans who are as annoying in real life as they are online. Edited Monday at 15:49 by Pamplemousse 3 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted Monday at 16:05 Posted Monday at 16:05 I’ll probably watch the game, despite the inevitable disappointment. I don’t mind Arsenal…they’re not a team I hold any bad feelings about really, but will do if they utterly spank us (which is highly likely). For once I’m looking forward more to the summer close season than the actual season to see what transpires with a new Manager, the anticipated squad clear out and hopefully getting to watch a transformed playing style in the pre-season friendlies (i.e. the exorcism of ‘Russball’).
Badger Posted Monday at 16:08 Posted Monday at 16:08 25 minutes ago, CSA96 said: Saints hoping to have Will Still in the stands for this game, according to Echo Is it too early to have a flag, or perhaps a flypast, telling him to fuck off ? 2

Turkish Posted Monday at 16:51 Posted Monday at 16:51 I wonder if the new manager will be welcomed with a chant from the Chapel Kop of "you dont know what youre doing"

Willo of Whiteley Posted Monday at 19:47 Posted Monday at 19:47 Love the title 😂 Anything under three conceded is phenomenal. Under five is annoying. Under seven is a shame. But I think it’ll be 3-1 to Arsenal. Ross Stewart tap in.

Season ends then fresh start. I truly hope sports republic get some abuse, they’ve been absolutely shite. Reckon there will be less than 10k left in the stadium for the round of applause. 1

SaintsBarry74 Posted Monday at 20:10 Posted Monday at 20:10 Currently our gd is -60, if we lose 0-9 we tie with Derby for the worst gd ever. It's not like us to lose a game 0-9 or is it? 1

Galway saint Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Its been abysmal. Have we ever been so uncompetitive during an entire season in our history ? Still beggars belief that the club thought a forward line of BBD, Archer, Stewart and TP would be enough to keep us up. Speaks volumes about the footballing acumen of the people running the club. 1

As well as having Bednarek and Stephens as two of our main CBs despite us fucking both of them off at the beginning of our last PL campaign. The decision makers have been given such a free ride by a very placid fanbase this season, it would be good to hear some toxicity pointed towards Sport Republic for this game but no doubt people will stay and applaud at the FT whistle. 1
Andy Hill Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Well - hopefully this will be the last time that we see most of them ambling around in a Saints shirt pretending to be a footballer. 1

Not only that, but to consistently play a style of football that almost completely nullifies the minimal strengths of those players is sheer madness - strikers hugging the wings, few crosses into the box aiming at one of the tallest strikers in the league…etc. Crass stupidity would not be too harsh a description of what we’ve witnessed. 3

I feel that the way the fans have taken the season the way we have is that we knew that the squad wasnt up to it and so accepted our fate. Abusing the owners is all well and good, but where does that get us. Ive seen many a fan shout abuse on the terraces, but when they come face face they almost get on their knees in reverence. Most fans are all talk 1
Saint Paul C Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago The 2024/25 Season Review (Comedy of Errors Edition) Well, if you were looking for a footballing masterclass this season, Southampton FC politely offered the opposite – a 38-game-long tragicomedy that had fans laughing through the tears. Finishing rock bottom of the Premier League, Saints managed to defy expectations… by being even worse than anyone thought possible. They flirted with a record-low points tally and only narrowly avoided it thanks to a late-season draw that no one actually watched because they’d emotionally checked out in November. The managerial carousel spun so fast it could’ve powered the stadium floodlights. Southampton had more managers than wins, which is quite the feat. At one point, it wasn’t clear who was in charge – a bloke from the car park was spotted holding the tactical board during one match, and honestly, it didn’t make things worse. On the pitch, the players displayed all the urgency and cohesion of a group project where nobody wanted to be there. Their defending was more “open door policy” than tactical discipline, and their attacking play looked like they’d just met five minutes before kickoff. Body language ranged from “mildly bored” to “is that my Uber?” All in all, it was a season that will live long in infamy – a Shakespearean tragedy set to the soundtrack of groans from the St Mary’s faithful. But hey, at least relegation means they can finally try to win a few games again… right? Hope springs eternal – even in the Championship. 1 1
Barton Saint Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Just go out and play for fun with a striker or 2 and maybe score a goal in May
