Gloucester Saint Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Cheltenham Town took Saints’s place today conceding a 95th minute goal at Gillingham. Still a creditable point at a strong side at that level and 4 from 6 in Cotterill’s first two games back as manager.

Some managers always seem to do well at particular clubs, though don’t repeat it elsewhere. I think - and hope - Cotterell falls into that category at Cheltenham. Would be a pretty impressive achievement to keep them in the league. In another result up this way, Gloucester City beat Sholing 2-1 today, and are top of their league. 1
Lighthouse Posted October 11 Posted October 11 On the subject of hattricks, Haaland has just banged in his 21st goal of the season after less than two months. Utterly ludicrous footballer. 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Steven Gerrard has turned down Rangers. He’s been quoted as saying “I cannot fix this shitshow”. 3

whelk Posted October 13 Posted October 13 The good news, there is no international break next October. The bad news, September’s will be 3 wees, well two weekends. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cq5jl744pwpo
LiberalCommunist Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Ah the autumn break we have all been hoping for. 🤪

Patches O Houlihan Posted October 13 Posted October 13 Shea Charles starts in a 5-3-2 formation for Norn Iron in their game against Germany, having won their game against Slovakia.
AlexLaw76 Posted October 13 Author Posted October 13 Watched most of the N.Ireland game so far. Just confirms my believe that Charles will be playing in the Premier League next season.
Mr Brightside Posted October 13 Posted October 13 He was excellent for them on Friday too. And yes, I agree, he’ll be instrumental in getting us promoted this season. 😉 1
Saint NL Posted Tuesday at 18:54 Posted Tuesday at 18:54 Ireland Vs Armenia tonight. Smallbone, Azaz and Manning start. Spertsyan starts for Armenia.

Saint NL Posted Tuesday at 19:32 Posted Tuesday at 19:32 Sounds like Azaz isn't playing well for Ireland, I'm not convinced by him so far...
Saint NL Posted Tuesday at 20:00 Posted Tuesday at 20:00 Armenian player gets a red card for headbutting Azaz 😂
Tommy Mulgrew Posted Tuesday at 21:09 Posted Tuesday at 21:09 If we’re looking for a goalie, we could do worse than 29 year-old Henri Avagyan, who kept Ireland at bay for most of the match and, importantly, made several good saves. Market value 200,000 peanuts. Spertsyan was at the hub of most Armenia’s play but wasted his opps to score; an intelligent and industrious player. Azaz and Smallbone distinctly average. Manning took some good corners and got forward well but did little else but get a yellow, which rules him out of the game against Portugal.
rooney Posted Wednesday at 06:05 Posted Wednesday at 06:05 It was good to see Marians Pahars interviewed before the game. What a player he was for us,costing I believe only £300k.I still have my “Super Marian” T shirt which sadly is only fit to wear in the garden now. 1
macca155 Posted Wednesday at 22:45 Posted Wednesday at 22:45 Not sure where to put this, but my excitement at Scotland actually, possibly, reaching the world cup, has been tempered a bit by the ticket prices. Roger me sideways with a soggy marrow, anybody want a kidney.

All group games have Cat 1 to 4, it's pricing based on where the seat is so cat 4 in the corners, cat 1 half way line etc
Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted Thursday at 13:42 Posted Thursday at 13:42 It's a rip off, but if you can afford flights half way around the world and presumably a relatively lengthy stay there, the cost of the match tickets if probably the least of your worries when budgeting!

Not so sure Quarter final is probably the air fare. It's a bad precedent, when the WC eventually arrives back in Europe, they won't be reducing the prices.

Sadly I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll probably never get to watch England play in the world cup unless we host it (and even then the chances are it'll be nigh on possible to get tickets). 2

AlexLaw76 Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago I read that Eustace is under significant pressure as Derby have won 1 in 12. Obviously, 1 of the points gained was from a Will Still masterclass.

East Kent Saint Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Forest started well and had half a dozen good chances all missed ! Chelsea subbed Lavia and 2 others on the left side up front and knocked in 3 goals . Chelsea weren’t totally convincing though , plenty of tippy tappy and giving the ball away outside the penalty box in the first half .

Willo of Whiteley Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Carragher probably feeling a little more rattled now, who does he blame Liverpool’s poor finishing on? The officials? 🤣
