I’m not interested what those bullshitting incompetent cunts have to say.  Fucking bunch of useless wankers.

Let's face it. There's only one winner of the "SaintsWeb FAB Representative" vote.

How about bringing in Delia Smith as motivational coach, apparently she does a storming pre-match talk.

Dianne Abbot could be given responsibility for accounts.

Big Ron Atkinson should be in charge of PR and ethics and diversity.

Phil Brown combining halftime team talk, with the fans half time entertainment, as he does it on the pitch.

Just had an interesting chat with @ubiquitousdave - lets just say it might be worth reading up on Tobias Strobl a little more 👀

Only been at Verl since May but from the sounds of it is very much in the frame.

Someone mentioned Vitor Matos very early on and possibly in the summer as an alternative to Still.

Swansea now looking at him. Will be interesting to see how he gets on if he goes there.

Saying that it would be an appointment from the Portuguese second division. Which in the current circumstances for Saints probably not for the best!

And therefore all the more likely

I bet Coventry wish they appointed some fucking unknown from a minor foreign league to show how fucking clever they are rather than an English ex-international who is respected by all those in the game, has a bit about him and has the instant respect of the players.

They’ve dropped a major bollock there.  Rasmus is probably incredulous at their rank stupidity.  Sports Republic won’t be making that mistake.

Rasmus probably had Vitor next in his blackbox.

In fairness to Lampard, he's done a lot better than I expected. Definitely the season to take advantage in terms of promotion given the current state of the three relegated teams.

Just endured his 10 minute press conference. His avoidance of the four or five questions Blackmore posed on his position certainly hints that the job is his to lose. He gives old Claudey a run for his money in the interesting stakes. Hopefully he sends the team out with a little more enthusiasm.

I really, really hate everything I have heard about Rasmus Ankersen. What an absolute tool.

Mate, you are not reinventing football. You got lucky once and then everything else you have ever touched has been shit.

Give up and leave Saints please.

He was never the brains behind Brentford's rise.

Aren't Verl a German 3rd division side who are not even in the top few of their division? He'll fit right in and, if there is any truth in it, this will be another inspirational appointment by SR.

I’ll be honest, I don’t really care. I wake up every day and the same people are crying about “why haven’t we got an incredible manager in” etc, we’re all thinking it but I’m bored of reading it every day.
We all know where this is going.

I’ve become numb to a lot of this and football in the last eighteen months or so.

It’s more enjoyable going to non-league football.

I know, let's bring in a ex rugby union international coach, that's never been done before and might be of benefit..............................oh!.

Always thought we’d go for Eddie Jones.

Not sure where he is now. Perhaps we’re waiting for the end of the Autumn Internationals or something

Genuinely curious why Lallana is now with the 21s. Is it a promotion? A demotion? A sideways move?

Does it mean Tonda doesn’t need him around the first team?

Feels just a bit odd 🤷‍♂️

Whole thing seems bizarre. Appoint Trollope and promote Lallana to first team coach in the summer but overlook them for interim manager. Lallana now it seems moved out of the way.

Eckert highly rated we’re told, but in danger of pissing him off and him walking out if we appoint someone else.

I can totally see Sport Republic Board Meetings being like this.

Oi ... SFC ... give us a job coaching ...

Me: why is playing 5 centre backs a good idea for a football club in the championship playing charlton atheletic?

GPT: Playing five centre-backs (or a back five made mostly of centre-backs) can actually make sense in certain Championship matchups—including against a side like Charlton Athletic—depending on your squad strengths and the opponent’s style. Here are the key reasons why it can be a good idea:

etc etc

GPT again:

If you want, I can help you design an ideal back-five tactical plan, including:

  • Player roles

  • Press triggers

  • Build-up structure

  • How to score on the counter against Charlton.

Me: Sure, go for it

GPT: LOADS OF STUFF, honestly, LOADS of it and this ...

  • Keep distances tight (Championship teams score when back lines stretch)

  • Do not press high for long spells—be selective

  • Wing-backs must be fit enough to defend deep AND counter

  • Middle CB must communicate constantly

  • Direct transitions are more effective than slow build-up

Me: If the football club playing 5 centre backs is Southampton, what does the starting 11 look like?

GPT

Bazunu

     Stephens — Harwood-Bellis — Quarshie — Edwards — Wood

             Downes — Charles — Jander

              Armstrong — Archer

GK: Gavin Bazunu — Undisputed, solid shot-stopper ..... !!!???

Maybe Eckert isn't such a bad option as you think after all?

We'll find out a lot more in the next 3 games which are all tough fixtures. I'm not expecting much to be honest.

Swear people are making up rumours now.

Read back over the last few days. There are no links or new news aside from that SR are going to analyse again after the next few games.

People are dropping in names randomly now and others are taking it as gospel. There’s no new information.

We all know Tonda will end up getting it, it’s just SR dithering about announcing it.

Probably interviewing for the support staff not actually the managers role lol

Feels to me like Eckert has the job already. They’re not announcing it in the hope that he gets results in the next three, and then they can pass it off as a ‘no brainer’…

The football world is full of caretaker managers who do well, get the job full tine, and then…

So next 3 games. You are SR how many points does he need to keep the job?

For me win 2 draw 1 so minimum of 7 points.

6 points I suppose keeps him interim

anything less and I’m appointing someone else (fook knows who tho).

Dusic/Saint_Charlie is a proper wum by the way, not to ruin his fun - but everything he's been saying about the managers is trolling and trying to wum people. Pay no attention, and just laugh at it. Have a look through his post history, he's even at it during the transfer windows linking us with players who retired 20 years ago. Sorry for spoiling your fun Dusic.

Anyway, as expected we lurch into Charlton with an even weaker first team coaching setup than we had against Wednesday, and given that they've had the entire international break to sort that is quite something.

In essence, the first team is being coached and managed by the entire U21 cohort, there is no remaining senior coaches at the club. We are being coached by Ben fricking Reeves and Jimmy Newton who have forever been with the U21's. It's a mess. The club try to dress this up as being 'calm and relaxed about the situation' - but this is a fucking mess. How a club with the finances we have this year, and the money we've spent, have ended up with the entire incumbent u21 coaching team managing the first team in November, in a season where promotion was required, is nothing short of horrific.

Fuck off SR. Just go. Nothing will change my view ever.

So if we lose today and fail to win Tuesday what happens then? Do they look elsewhere or stick their fingers in their ears, pretend its all ok and appoint TE anyway ?

According to @Ya Barrrrrrr'd its only a bit of fun, which is clear to 99% of people here I am sure 😀

Although will be interesting to see if Strobl is on the touchline for the Verl game today...
