Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 14:46 Posted Saturday at 14:46 Archer hits a 'shot' straight at a defender. I had almost completely forgotten he was even on the pitch.

macca155 Posted Saturday at 14:47 Posted Saturday at 14:47 This game is terrible, there is an old adage that you can only play what's in front of you, which is true, but don't sink to their level. This is kick and rush pin ball football. A truly dreadful watch 5

His head drops so easily. If he'd have not given up he could have won the ball back right after Azaz challenged the defender. 1
Viking Saint Posted Saturday at 14:49 Posted Saturday at 14:49 Anyone got a reliable stream other than fawanews??
Saint_clark Posted Saturday at 14:50 Posted Saturday at 14:50 Fucking terrible run from Archer, why the hell are you offside there.
RedArmy Posted Saturday at 14:50 Posted Saturday at 14:50 Offside and a horrific first touch from Archer. 1
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 14:50 Posted Saturday at 14:50 Did Archer know he was offside before he shot then? Because that's the only possible excuse I can think of for such a pathetic attempt when clean through.
Lee On Solent Saint Posted Saturday at 14:50 Posted Saturday at 14:50 Only another 45 minutes of this shit to sit through
AlexLaw76 Posted Saturday at 14:51 Posted Saturday at 14:51 HT Dreadful display. Our goal come from their ridiculous defending, and that is about it. Our patterns of player are terrible. Our set up is terrible, and we (of course) are wide open in the middle of the park. Azaz playing from the 6 position is tragic. There is no need (like at Swansea) to play 3 CBs. When we break are immediately short. When we lose the ball, we immediately go into a back 5 which allows them progress well enough We have not, at all, dominated or imposed ourselves on this game. And blackburn are terrible. 6
Steve Cadiz Posted Saturday at 14:51 Posted Saturday at 14:51 Our £15m Archer is giving his all for the cause. What a bargain buy he was😮

SNSUN Posted Saturday at 14:51 Posted Saturday at 14:51 I'll take a shit win over a shit side when we have a depleted team but we need to get that shit win. Half time score is promising but even though I'm not watching it, just reading your comments gives me all I need to know about our performance. Glad for Leo though.
skintsaint Posted Saturday at 14:51 Posted Saturday at 14:51 1 up. Happy with that. Keep it going lads and maybe score more to make it a bit more comfortable 😅

OttawaSaint Posted Saturday at 14:52 Posted Saturday at 14:52 If you're not playing great then keep it simple, keep good fundamentals, find space, and play positively. Most of our lot have head down trying to do everything in their own.
SouSaint Posted Saturday at 14:52 Posted Saturday at 14:52 Dreadful display. Big improvement needed in the second half.
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 14:53 Posted Saturday at 14:53 Half time. Very low quality all round. Blackburn are there for the taking, they're hopeless. The only bit of quality in the game was the goal. Get Archer off and give literally anyone else a chance, they can't do any worse. 2
Osvaldorama Posted Saturday at 14:54 Posted Saturday at 14:54 I’m sorry, but this is actually more evidence that Still isn’t up to it. This is an absolutely horrific performance. Much better second half needed, Blackburn are one of the worst teams I’ve ever seen at championship level. They know they’re going down already. 1
obelisk Posted Saturday at 14:54 Posted Saturday at 14:54 One moment of class from Scienza. The rest of it is really pretty awful. If Saints drop points against this lot then we'll have found our level.

Think there's definitely a case to be made for the young striker to come on with no fear. 4
HarvSFC Posted Saturday at 14:55 Posted Saturday at 14:55 (edited) Low quality half. Given up possession a lot through aimless passing, or just running into the Blackburn defence. Just get Scienza on the ball as much as possible, seems to be the only way. When you watch Archer, you're left thinking, okay maybe Downs isn't that bad. And then you watch Downs and you're left thinking, okay maybe Archer isn't that bad. So, hopefully Oyekunle can do an Obafemi before his career tanked and actually make an impact at senior level. He's also far from the worst player starting today. He should really have got a goal again right before half time.. he's a pacey striker which poor movement and pretty average finishing even when he's on form. I can stomach him starting when we have injuries / illnesses, but I don't want to see him when we're at full strength. He wastes chances and kills our attacks - and that's when he touches the ball. He's not downs bad, but he's pretty close. Edited Saturday at 14:57 by Saint86
washsaint Posted Saturday at 14:56 Posted Saturday at 14:56 I am yearnng for Martin - he had a discernible style, and we played good football in the CHampionship in his season here. I hhve no idea what Still is doing: there seems no discernible style of play, he plays a cowards game with 5 at the back and we aimlessly hoof it up to a bunch of midgets. It's a truly horrible watch. Why not play Edwards as DM and push Azaz up to his actual position? We sure as hell don't need 5 at the back against Blackburn. 1 1

Wow, that was Sunday morning pub team football but we are marginally the better pub team. Looks like we have found a Brazilian that can actually play football. Never seen Oyekunle play but get him on.

aintforever Posted Saturday at 14:57 Posted Saturday at 14:57 (edited) We’re lucky Blackburn are complete shite because that was awful. The 5 at the back just hamstrings us, luckily Blackburn look like a side we should beat even without a midfield. Edited Saturday at 14:58 by aintforever 1
Verwood Saint Posted Saturday at 14:58 Posted Saturday at 14:58 We are just so bad today at literally every level from team selection on! Obviously take any sort of win but I don’t think I have ever seen a worse level of football in 55+ years. 1
