bugenhagen Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Let’s not do the Tonda… Baz and Jack in, and me out! Not watching this.
Barton Saint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Fonda clearly liked what he saw from Baz and Jay against Real Madrid 1
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Waste of fuckin time. Feel for the fans travelling. Least it's a short journey back home

I just think they don't think Azaz has shown enough to build a team around. 1

Players have got their way by underperforming. Let's hope they reward the 'yes' junior with a hard working display. 5

Saint NL Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago No surprise the formation is the same, I guess we're stuck with it until we have a new (permanent) manager. It's a bit surprising to see the Bazunu and Stephens straight back in. But, I reckon we'll get something today, just a feeling.

He needs to be further up the field. I think it's generally an issue with Azaz as well, we aren't utilising them properly Totally agree, but I do think the only way 5 at the back ever works is if the wing backs actuality play like wing backs and get up and down properly. If they don’t do that all 5 at the back does is make you a man light in midfield. 2

All the trouble started when he and THB were unceremoniously dropped for being shit against Hull. 7
Baird of the land Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Thought Stephens might come back in. Maybe provide some communication back there. Disappointed were persisting with the 5 at the back, especially shoehorning fellows completely out of position. 1

coalman Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Jack and THB back so maximum ball watching and slow passing potential. Armstrong on his own up front. Fellows at right back. Light in midfield again. At least Eckert appears to be doing his job as the continuity candidate. Same formation. Same players. What is the actual fucking point of having a Saints manager if all we do is the same thing over and over again. Edited 3 hours ago by coalman 3

I still think it's dumb as fuck buying that talent for a wing position and persevering with this but yeah. If you are gonna play like that make sure you're blowing out of your arsehole by 70 mins and 2 up

Wouldn’t really make any sense. You’d think right? But there have been muted messages from people around the club that players either have not followed instructions (or followed them poorly) or taken poor decisions (and that’s been abundantly clear to all of us). 1

We need more communication in the team, and we'll have that in that back 3. Fellows will be further up the pitch for sure. Midfield worries me though. Bazunu aside, I don't have an issue with that side, although I still don't know why we aren't playing 4231 or 433.

coalman Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago - Slowest playing defenders - CHECK - Slowest ball playing defenders - CHECK - Crisp packet wristed goalkeeper - CHECK - No height up front for crosses - CHECK - Adam Armstrong through the middle - CHECK - Winger out of position in defence - CHECK - Midfield set to be overrun - CHECK It seems that whoever is in charge we're able to continue doing the same things that brought us so many records in the last year and a bit.

notnowcato Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Clearly wedded to playing 5 at the back. Unfortunately we don’t have the wing backs for this system. Stephens in for Edwards as he’s been a bit shit lately.

Willo of Whiteley Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago All QPR have to do this evening is press lightly and they’ll score a couple at least 1
stknowle Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Let’s face it we are always going to be fucked when our striker options are Armstrong (decent enough player cannot operate as lone striker), Archer (same, although I see not even on bench today) and Damion fucking Downs (just NO). The first 2 would never work with each other, or as the only focal point of attack, Downs just isn’t an option. It’s fucking hopeless. We need a hold up man, only option I can think of is Aribo but we don’t appear to want to try it.
