LGTL Posted 29 December, 2025 Posted 29 December, 2025 Didn’t take him long to start gaslighting, did it?

Willo of Whiteley Posted 29 December, 2025 Posted 29 December, 2025 He’s a yes-man. That is literally it. 2
HKsaint Posted 30 December, 2025 Posted 30 December, 2025 Everything starts from he getting the permanent job. Is this just a coincidence? 4

The similarities are becoming more apparent with each game. The rigid unadaptable style, clueless in game management, refusal to change style or shape, or formation, and bland like for like substitutions that do little to help us improve during the match. Add to this his seemingly being content with performances way below what this squad should be giving, and he’s really no better than Selles. 7

Willo of Whiteley Posted 30 December, 2025 Posted 30 December, 2025 I think the problem is we could do so much better but there is a reluctance either from him or the club to change. I’d rather we played four at the back in a 4-2-3-1 and lost having played well, then limped to a defeat. Last night he was very fortunate. 5

I don't think last nights substitutuons were examples of technical magement wizardry. To me it was desperate substitution bingo at the end. The substitutions were like for like, there was no magical change in formation. Archer has come on on numerous occasions and offered nothing (as he did before and after scoring last night). As soon as we got the equaliser, we went back to boilerplate, crab football which Birmingham were very comfortable defending. The goal put an unmerited varnish on another awful performance, the like of which we have seen again and again this season. We had hoped Tonda had broken this tactical monotony but that didn't last long. One point away to Norwich, Oxford and Birmingham is a dreadful return with no excuses. And he was really happy with the performance. I mean come on. Fair enough you don't want drop the players in it but don't pull the wool over our eyes. That first half was atrocious at best. 5

Willo of Whiteley Posted 30 December, 2025 Posted 30 December, 2025 I’m not planning on going for a while, I’ll listen on the radio and watch on TV if I can, but I’m not spending £30 to watch a game which won’t excite me. It’s desperately hard to watch now, and there is more to life than watching Saints. 4

Or the other Sky Sports Channels, or indeed Amazon Prime, Netflix, Paramount, ITV X etc etc. Even better, the local pub with no live sport on and when the evenings get lighter a nice walk in the countryside. Farm shops are a good Saints alternative for the Saturday games with far more variety than watching THB pass slowly to Wood, to Stephens, to Manning, to Bazanu, back to THB and repeat. Occasionally bringing the right back if it’s someone the other squad members talk to. 3

Tonda eluded to Brum being fast and strong starters at home before the game. So no surprise it was seen as an opportunity to give Leo a bit of a rest.
saintant Posted 31 December, 2025 Posted 31 December, 2025 (edited) High time Tonda proved he is not a one trick pony. Let's at least try something different using a flat back four. I think he is worried about taking out a centre back because we are such a small team lacking physicality. I get that but let's start with two because we can always bring one off the bench if needed. Saint86 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) So start of 2026, who is supporting eckert as mananger and thinks he's the man to take us up? Edited 22 hours ago by Saint86

Why anyone wouldn't be supporting him I've no idea, unless being right is more important than seeing Saints succeed. Whether he's the right man remains to be seen. I approved of his appointment but I don't think anyone had blind faith that his initial form would carry on indefinitely. 1 1
bangkoksaint Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Just listening to TalkSPORT and the ‘sacking’ of Maresca. Talking about interference behind the scenes which I can’t help but feel is what is happening with us. The board want someone to dance to their tune and with Tonder they very much have that. 4

Still can't believe they got rid of Poch after he'd just managed to unfuck Todd Boehly's insane transfer strategy and get them playing well. 5
Willo of Whiteley Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago “We go into every game looking to get three points”. Proceeds to leave top scorer on the bench, the other two most creative players on the bench, keeps a defensive back three CBs passing sideways for an entire half and subs off Scienza at half time. 3
AlexLaw76 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago he is absolute garbage, or out of his league He wont be our manager next season 3
Britannia Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) The Charlton and Leicester wins sold him for me, though I wasn't ignorant to the performances in the 2nd 45. In retrospect, a draw/loss during that period wouldn't have been terrible. Edited 19 hours ago by Britannia

Osvaldorama Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Yeah, we’re fucked. The honeymoon period is over and there’s absolutely nothing there, is there. Dunno where we go from here really. Genuinely hoped this season would be better than last season as it’s an easier league etc… but fuck me this club and its shitty tactics have sucked all the fun out of it completely. 6

coalman Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I love the way Rasmus is trying to extend the Peter Principle. Not only do we promote people beyond their ability. We keep promoting them presumably in the hopes that eventually they'll become competent again. 1
ally_uk Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Sports Republic are the definition of insanity, wish these cunts would sell up and fuck off sharpish..... Utterly embarrassing, destroying our club. 4
Willo of Whiteley Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago If this was Spors appointment then that’s two in seven months that are awful 1
stknowle Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) I said when he was appointed it would turn out to be a big mistake. And…… Just a manager with experience at this level would have this lot in and around the top 6. Swap the managers round for today’s game and we win imho. Edited 18 hours ago by stknowle 2
Greenridge Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago You didn’t have to be Nostradamus to predict what we’re now seeing. It was as obvious as night following day. If so many could see it playing out this way, how come the ‘experts’ at SFC couldn’t? 2
bangkoksaint Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I think his appointment will cost Dragan literally millions - no return to the PL, ST holders not renewing, crowds dwindling and having to pay him off and get yet another team in. 1
