I would like to see Cameron Archer be given a run of games now over Cyle Larin.

Watching Archer has been thoroughly unenjoyable for the past 2 seasons, so i’m not sure why you’d like to see that.

There is a little bit of everything in here, including two goals for Larin, who bounces off and runs past Romeu for the first and takes advantage of a Gazzaniga fuck up for the second. Not sure I come away feeling terribly great about Larin. He hardly ever scored and one of those was a gift...but at least he is running around in those clips.

A player that can run is a bonus already.

I wonder what will happen with Sam Edozie.

Such a waste of talent, and space.

He is a good player and God knows what has happened over the last few months with him or who is to blame, but it's such a waste to have someone pretty decent in the squad and not use him. I hope he can be reintegrated somehow, he's be an extra asset to our attack should Fellows, Azaz or Scienza (God help us) get injured. Or we are relying on Matsuki and Robinson to do the biz.

Exactly... remember we brought in that awful inexperienced manager in 2001, Gordon Strachan? He'd just got top-flight stalwarts Coventry relegated for the first time in 34 years! How could he possibly do a job for a similar sized club like Saints?

And then bringing along some of his relegated defenders. There was no way Telfer and Williams were ever going to do anything for us. 🙂

more importantly can people remember where they were when we signed this 30 yr old goal scoring machine from Canada.....................

So long as he gives his all, that’s all we can ask. If he puts himself about, holds the ball up, wins some headers, at least he will already have done way more than Downs ever did and will be supported

I was on a forum reading "more importantly can people remember where they were when we signed this 30 yr old goal scoring machine from Canada....................." 🙂

If we're both still in this division come June, I'd be banging Derby's door down for Agyemang on the first day of the window. That's presuming we completely clear decks of striking options.

Dear SR,

The time before last when we were in the lower leagues we signed the likes of Lambert, Sharp, Antonio, De Prado ,Connelly, and Papa Wago, all of different ability but all able to score goals on a regular basis. Why do you find it so hard to sign forwards?

Because they are a group of wankers

Archer is sure gonna feel wanted by the club if he stays.

it's not as if he ever looked motivated before this window.

Well, it's some time since we had a player strong enough to be bounced off! As for the f-u, at least he was there and anticipated it, and as you observe he can run. My naturally optimistic nature may soon be disillusioned, but let's see.

The thing about Downs was that he _didn't_ run, although I recall just the one occasion when he proved he could, quite quickly. Most odd.

This. It's his career at the end of the day, either perform or end up even further on the scrapheap. Simple.

What a stat.

And from their first window, the only player still at the club now is Edozie and he doesn't even play. They haven't got a fricking clue.

3 things to sort this window:

Number 9 - Sold ArmA, seemingly loaned Larin. Actually gone backwards. I mean, he’s a big lad but we’ve swapped him in for the only player we have who can score goals

Leader at the back - sold Edwards.  He wasn’t playing so I wouldn’t say we’ve gone backwards, but we certainly haven’t addressed the issue.

GK - loaned out Baz and Loaned in Peretz. Not convinced by him yet, but obviously an improvement because he isn’t totally sh1t.

I guess I’m glad I’ll never have to see Aribo or ABK again but Christ almighty that’s a pretty abject transfer window

Best laugh I've had in ages reading the comments on this thread.  Welcome Cycle 🙄.  Just ignore it all, you can't be that bad. ( Hopefully 🤣🤣🤣)

Went into the window thinking we'd do fuck all, so was surprised we signed a keeper and offloaded Downs and Aribo. No issue selling Edwards, but would have welcomed a couple more going.

I thought Armstrong would depart last summer, so not surprised he wanted out. We needed a target man to replace Archer instead - and the club could have made that happen. Whether we have got one in Larin we shall see.
