True. Although we won’t.

I still remember the last home game before going to Fratton in the league. We were flying high and still managed to only draw with lowly Blackpool, losing our 21 winning match home run!

Bart letting one through his legs wasn't it? Those were the days, home games had a feelgood factor

Yes. Injury time equaliser as I recall.

We’ve been abysmal but we need to get behind the players and Ekhert.

Why?

We're not going up this season and we're unlikely to go down. What do they need our support for? The players attitude hasn't been good enough - why should we cheer them on? Ekhert isn't good enough why does he deserve support?

I've supported this club through everything for a very long time, but I've never felt so detached from the team, manager and owners as I do now.

Sport Republic should be no where near running any football club that's for sure... They just limp from one disaterous decision to another! Seems the people making major decisions at the club have zero insight or experience in the football world! and Unfortunately we are stuck with them so the cycle will continue.

We can't remove them but we can and should be making it more difficult for them!

There's no space to get behind our players as they're so damn slow getting forward.

"If we’re going up we need to win these sort of games. They have some good players but they’re a **** team. As long as we turn up and actually put a performance in we should have too much for them."

A fair post by a Hull fan but really emphasises SR's failings in building a competitive "team"

Pretty much bang on really.

He isn't wrong, and for Hull to think they can come here and have too much for us in 2026 is a damming sum up of the entire SR reign.

They will have too much for us. Now that the Tonda interim bubble has well and truly burst, we're playing just as badly as we were when they bullied us up at theirs earlier in the season.

They mentioned it on TSP and it’s how I’ve felt about this game - feels just like the Preston game. A decent but unspectacular side are coming to SMS with some belief, a team that on paper we should be dealing with but we just don’t do that these days. It’s going to have to go fairly well from the start or this ever increasing noise of discontent is going to take off again and it’ll be a vile atmosphere, and likely defeat. Can easily see us picking up just 1 point before the Pompey game and we know how that’ll go.

Spors massively jumped the gun coming out and telling everyone how clever he was after Tonda’s temporary uptick in form, he’s back in his box now and I hope he’s working round the clock to sort this mess out that SR have caused.

I would think Eckert will go back to his tried and tested 3 centre-backs and lots of sideways and backward passes between them.

When I say tried and tested I mean tried and tested to get fucking dicked again.

Football fucking genius.

We paid well over the odds for one game wonders. Relying on 2 decent players for only half the game then complete rubbish football. Most fans have given up on ' on paper ' we can make top 6. Its the worst (Wurst) football I've ever seen in 50 years, utter crap from £100m players. The coaching is now non existent and manager has disappeared, is he in garden leave and its a hologram in dug out. Mays just as well give up in 2nd half, no wonder most fans have.

Hull are a much better team, as a unit the will out pace and muscle us off the ball. We cant complete over 90 mins and we will get caught on break or corner.

At least their hologram in goal has temporarily relocated to Staffordshire but yes, mini Rasmus will be in the dug out awaiting instructions as normal.

Wasn’t it widely considered that Rasmus was the advisor advising Solak not to appoint TE?

I've seen a correlation recently, the more players the opposition are "missing" the more likely it is for them to win, Millwall were down to their bare bones with the team kit man and coach driver on the bench etc

Didn’t see that - possible - doesn’t reflect well on Spors if so. Nothing against the lad but awful to watch someone that far out of their depth.

We all know how this ends….Ron the coach driver in his 60s coming on and bullying Stephens/THB for McBurnie to prod a late winner. Ron saying in the post match interviews that 40 years of Benson & Hedges didn’t do him any harm.

Could you share your source for that please?

Tbh, I can’t find it. There’s this podcast when House states someone is advising Dragan to go for more experience but doesn’t say who. I’m sure he or Blackmore have said Rasmus is their footballer advisor so maybe I’ve over assumed.

Either way, the latest experiment needs bringing to an end. Experienced manager please, Mowbray to end of season if they want to go longer-term in the summer, but let them and Spors get on with their jobs.

If we’re writing off this season. (I’m not saying we should) then is giving Eckert the rest of the season to build up his experience not a worthwhile plan?

If we’re not writing off this season then is bringing in a manger who last season couldn’t get much out of our best striker really a great plan?. (And I like Mowbray btw)

Oh FFS, we all know what this means.

It means Saints 1-4 Hull.

Its almost impossible for a full 1st team squard including 5 subs to lose against a team with 9 1st team players out. If we lose this game we really are the worst tam jn championship. Just imagine if we had 9 players out, would be 0-14 at HT.

If you'd told me in July that we'd be 15th on new year's day, I'd have been pretty cheesed off. If you'd said we'd be here despite a really quite astonishing string of good luck regarding our opponents injuries, I'd have thrown the whole f**king smorgasbord at you.

Surely nothing is as bad as the Poortvilet/Wotte relegation season?  They were proper grim times.

Go Tonda!!!!

Millwall, Norwich, Oxford. Zero points. Doesn't matter which players teams put on the pitch. If they have a go at us, we fold like a pack of cards.

True, but somehow this seems bleaker. I could accept we were financially screwed in those days. With SR they've spent money making us this depressingly bad and boring with literally no regard to the fans.

Different expectations that season. Was grim but light at the end of tunnel in the prospect of breaking the Lowe/Askham stranglehold.

That's a bit harsh, Saints have been playing a revolutionary "False #1" formation for the last couple of years

Go Tonda!!!!

The same as not beating opponents reduced to ten men, when it happens to us it's a cricket score.
