Watford have spurned some good chances with their more direct style. Meanwhile Saints have had a couple of openings but the build up is too slow again. There really is no reason to fanny around with it at the back all the time when in possession giving Watford time to get into their defensive shape. Considering it's a "must-win" game I'd suggest we'd better instead start to think about next season and whether Tonda's the right man to go for a promotion push. Yep and he most definitely isn't 1

Mr X Posted February 7 Posted February 7 (edited) Why has Leo been so poor lately? Seems to overplay all the time tbf he was looking unplayable at his best Edited February 7 by Mr X

NewYorkSaint Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Really hope Downes is OK... He's been such an important player last few games.
AlexLaw76 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Meh A brilliant example of why we are going to finish about 13th (at an enormous cost) 4
saintant Posted February 7 Posted February 7 We seem to be playing it about at the back more today and it's not working. Would like to see Peretz clear long a bit more and us getting men around Stewart looking for second ball. 4
washsaint Posted February 7 Posted February 7 FOr me, Fellows has been a huge disappointment this season. Just not good enough. Opposition teams have worked out Leo....put 2 on him and more often than not he'll lose the ball. Dull, dull, dull 1
Chez Posted February 7 Posted February 7 3 minutes ago, SouSaint said: Very very boring. There is no way we can go into next season with Tonda Eckert as our manager. Is it Tondas fault every time we dont win? Some of the players haven't done their jobs.

Gloucester Saint Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Just now, adrian lord said: Doesn't sound very encouraging so far from this thread. It’s not that bad but Watford’s sit deeper and spring quickly on the counter is kryptonite at home and has been all season. Looked better when moving the ball quicker which the players ought to be doing given Watford had a tough midweek outing at Hull. 4
Chez Posted February 7 Posted February 7 2 minutes ago, adrian lord said: Doesn't sound very encouraging so far from this thread. We've done ok, but Watford had our number in the first half. We must improve or their two wingers will eventually make us pay. 4

coalman Posted February 7 Posted February 7 If we up the intensity of our passing in attack we'll win this. Sit back and be passive and we all know the story. 1
Crab Lungs Posted February 7 Posted February 7 This has 0-1 FT from a looping Watford header written all over it 😬 1

Gloucester Saint Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Poor crossing but also a lack of movement even if Ross wins the header to win the second ball.
obelisk Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Another Watford corner. Don't think Saints have had one yet.
Lighthouse Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Right, give it another 15 minutes then get Yukon Klinsmann on.

Harry_SFC Posted February 7 Posted February 7 The decision to loan Bree out looks poorer by the game 3

tdmickey3 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Still poor, nothing different this half so far. Watford so much better than us
SNSUN Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Their intricate passing is better than ours. Their attacking intent is better than ours. We can only hope they knacker themselves out and we can finish them off, otherwise we can only hope that at best this ends a draw.
Gloucester Saint Posted February 7 Posted February 7 (edited) Bellend booked. Had to take one for the team there on the bounce as would have been clean though. Misjudged his position and bounce of the ball to create the problem. Edited February 7 by Gloucester Saint
Harry_SFC Posted February 7 Posted February 7 We've defended well but the quality from our front 4 today has been so poor.

coalman Posted February 7 Posted February 7 That's more like it. Use the overlap, get the play stretched, get crosses in.

Lighthouse Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Louza to score their winner, just for added irony. Edit: Apparently we lost Aaron Ramsey in summer.
