Miltonaggro Posted yesterday at 09:30 Posted yesterday at 09:30 The ‘showreels’ that accompany Larin are quite worrying, as he doesn’t seem to do anything a forward should do particularly well. Hopefully a reverse De Ridder, if you will. Not expecting much, but he improves massively on Damion Downs if he can niggle and mix it with defenders, hold up play, and know roughly where to stand for crosses and set pieces. If he does that, the likes of Scienza and Azaz will be able to benefit. Feyenoord are managed by Van Persie and second in the league, so whilst he flopped on loan there, you’d like to think he must have something about him. Good luck Cyle, do the business and celebrate with a few beers and a kebab! 2
Convict Colony Posted yesterday at 10:02 Posted yesterday at 10:02 I predict a goal from him today, probably bicycle. 3

saintant Posted yesterday at 10:14 Posted yesterday at 10:14 The one thing going for this guy is that he has a massive incentive to show the Canadian boss what he can do over the rest of this season. Having barely played he is sure to be rusty but he'll need to get whatever act he has together very quickly and start showing he can do the business if he wants to get into the Canada squad for the World Cup. That's my biggest positive for him. 1
Osvaldorama Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Get in! He actually looks like he plays football. Much better than our previous striker signing already. 2 1

I have been open that I have big doubts about this guy but will be delighted if he proves me wrong and will be on here singing his praises. I just don't see him doing well for us going by all the evidence but maybe I'll get a pleasant surprise as he performs well and bangs in a few goals. Good 45 minutes capped by a lovely headed goal to earn the three points. Hopefully, the first of many pleasant surprises and on the way to proving me wrong🙂 He looked powerful and led the line well. Keep that up and he'll prove a shrewd signing. 1

petermcpete Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Goal reminiscient of Rickie's first touch debut England goal vs Scotland 😍 4
Harry_SFC Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago He looks very unfit but that's to be expected considering he's barely played this season. He isn't going to the type of player who runs around a lot but he will provide a focal point when we are under the cosh. Plus he knows where the goal is which is always handy. 2

spyinthesky Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Great header. Just a thought but wonder if the Ref would have been brave enough to give a penalty for the Watford defenders grapple on Welington. However I wonder if this actually made space for Larin to score 1
Stud mark of doom Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago The bloke next to me referenced the rickie lambert England debut goal when he’d just come on. couldn’t believe it when we had a mirror image goal almost immediately! He had the look of Rickie in terms of being a big strong lad the other players were bouncing off. Who knew that might work with two good wingers? Quick debut goals: Steve Moran maybe - was it against Man City 2

Eight minutes too, apparently. I seem to recall Saganowski hit the post about twenty seconds into his debut, that would have been a good start.
egg Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Loved the celebration too. Puts to bed any doubts about him wanting to be here. Total commitment. 3

LiberalCommunist Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Great that he gets off to a flying start. That was incredibly important considering a lot of us were sceptical of his arrival. Really hope he goes on to cement his place in the team and score a hat full. Another peg shape sorted perhaps.
Nordic Saint Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) I was very impressed by Larin today. I don't think we have another player who could have scored a diving bullet header like that. But, it wasn't just his goal; his all-round game was good too. Of course, it'e early days, but today at least he reminded me of Cyrille Regis. I'm looking forward to seeing him score more goals. The 2nd half performance was good. The team really seemed to click, especially when Larin came on. After he scored, we stayed in control and the Watford fans fell silent because they could see their team wasn't going to come back. Edited 17 hours ago by Nordic Saint 5
