The ‘showreels’ that accompany Larin are quite worrying, as he doesn’t seem to do anything a forward should do particularly well. Hopefully a reverse De Ridder, if you will.
Not expecting much, but he improves massively on Damion Downs if he can niggle and mix it with defenders, hold up play, and know roughly where to stand for crosses and set pieces. If he does that, the likes of Scienza and Azaz will be able to benefit. 
Feyenoord are managed by Van Persie and second in the league, so whilst he flopped on loan there, you’d like to think he must have something about him.

The one thing going for this guy is that he has a massive incentive to show the Canadian boss what he can do over the rest of this season. Having barely played he is sure to be rusty but he'll need to get whatever act he has together very quickly and start showing he can do the business if he wants to get into the Canada squad for the World Cup. That's my biggest positive for him.

Good 45 minutes capped by a lovely headed goal to earn the three points. Hopefully, the first of many pleasant surprises and on the way to proving me wrong🙂 He looked powerful and led the line well. Keep that up and he'll prove a shrewd signing.

He looks very unfit but that's to be expected considering he's barely played this season. 

He isn't going to the type of player who runs around a lot but he will provide a focal point when we are under the cosh.

Plus he knows where the goal is which is always handy.

The bloke next to me referenced the rickie lambert England debut goal when he’d just come on. couldn’t believe it when we had a mirror image goal almost immediately! 
 

He had the look of Rickie in terms of being a big strong lad the other players were bouncing off. Who knew that might work with two good wingers?
