Unlikely but maybe they won’t be playing for much They’ll have 6 games in two and a half weeks, 5 for us unless the Wrexham game is moved. Better if they have nothing to play for in this penultimate game if we need points.
Willo of Whiteley Posted Wednesday at 21:32 Posted Wednesday at 21:32 Play off chase - over Norwich demonstrating how to come back when a goal down. Bodes well going into Wednesday.
Willo of Whiteley Posted Wednesday at 21:34 Posted Wednesday at 21:34 We could go eleventh next game 🤣 1

Willo of Whiteley Posted Wednesday at 22:54 Posted Wednesday at 22:54 West Brom - must win Blackburn - must win Portsmouth - must win Norwich - must win Oxford - must win Many points dropped from these lower league teams this season, based on the above fifteen points. It doesn’t inspire me with confidence going up against Coventry, Ipswich and (I can’t believe I’m saying this) bloody Wrexham, or Derby.
Jack Posted Wednesday at 23:02 Posted Wednesday at 23:02 We’ve been absolutely atrocious against sides in and around the bottom 3 this season. Lost - Blackburn (a), Norwich (a), Oxford (a) Drawn - Pompey x2, WBA 1 1

Yes, we have lost to some absolute shit, so have Ipswich, Boro and Millwall. This league is always the same, results that you never expect seem to happen.
coalman Posted yesterday at 11:44 Posted yesterday at 11:44 There's still a lot of football to be played. We've still got as good a shout as any for a playoff spot. The worry is that teams will look at the Charlton and WBA games and change their tactics. Before, you just needed to press us near our goal. Now you just need to sit back and hit us on the break. This is a good chance for Eckert to show he's able to adapt again. Though my fear is it requires us being able to step up our intensity in games. Something we've really struggled with for the last several years. 3

Maggie May Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I think Norwich are the team to keep an eye on. They’ve been quietly picking up points and could be on the same points of us if we lose to Coventry and them afterwards. They’ve have Preston next and I fear we’ll be thumped by Coventry, so it is possible. We were turgid against them in Tonda’s first defeat. 1

They might finish above us (also not that likely now) but they aren't making the play offs. They are as far behind Watford in 9th than we are to the actual play off places. If we were 15th, 9 points and 9 clubs off the play offs there is no way on earth you'd be saying we can do it. For a start, you don't even think we can beat Norwich. Edited 15 hours ago by CB Fry

Lord Duckhunter Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago If Wrexham, us, Derby, Watford, Birmingham, Swansea, Bristol City, Sheffield Utd and Preston hit a sticky patch, I fancy to Norwich to take full advantage and sneak into the play offs. 3

Midfield_General Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It would be useful if Swansea could turn Wrexham over tonight, or at least get something out of that game. If Swansea could get a win they'd go above us by a point, but we'd have two games in hand on them. Obviously we need to win our games first and foremost or it's all academic, but the table will look a lot more attractive ahead of tomorrow's game if Wrexham don't win tonight. I think they will though - Hull defeat aside they've been in good form and they were excellent against Chelsea. 2

Harry_SFC Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Wrexham take the lead after Vipotnik missed a 1 on 1 for Swansea.
so22saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago David Prutton next to Ryan Reynolds. Wouldn’t have seen that coming when he was getting banned for pushing refs for us 🤣 1
Micky Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) An absolute Wrexham wankfest going on on sky, what the actual fuck is going on with football these days. How on earth is this allowed to happen FFS, and if I was in the Swansea camp I'd have some serious questions about how this is allowed to happen. I'd be very interested to know if the officials know they are part of this ridiculous Hollywood style shit, because if they are then surely it puts them in a compromising position. This is absolute bollocks, it's very, very obvious where so called impartial broadcasters loyalties lay. Edited 1 hour ago by Micky 3

chownie20 Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago Wrexham are shit, Swansea have pissed all over them thus far.
Harry_SFC Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago Wrexham haven't been any better than we were against WBA the other night. The only difference is they've successfully defended set pieces.
saintant Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago If Wrexham win, as it looks like they will, we'll need to beat Coventry or it's going to look like a mountain to climb. They could be 6 points ahead of us by the end of our game tomorrow and that'll probably be a step too far. 1

Micky Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago 12 minutes ago, Andy Hill said: A Wrexham win and will we have too much to do to make 6th. Very probably but we just have to win our games, especially at their place, and hope that they drop points against other teams. Not a lot else we can do, they'll be six points clear after tonight and we have Coventry tomorrow, lose that and it's a very difficult task.

Andy Hill Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago Shame we did not turn up versus West Brom on Wednesday. Need a massive effort tomorrow to keep any chance alive. 1
LGTL Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago (edited) It’ll be a struggle but they’re at Watford midweek anlongside our home game to Norwich, so could comfortably be back to 3 by then. And we haven’t actually played Coventry yet! Lots still to play for. Edited 39 minutes ago by LGTL 1
obelisk Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago After tomorrow's game I suspect we'll be concentrating on the FA Cup - until we're not. Saints are too streaky to make up the points lost in too many indifferent performances and now the injuries are starting to stack up as well. 1
Micky Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago Just for the record Sky can take their Hollywood style biased coverage and shove it right up their ass. If this is going to be the norm, then serious questions need to be asked and answered. Absolute bollocks. 2
Saint NL Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago Fucking Wrexham. The BBC fawning over them is sickening, please Saints finish in 6th and stop them getting a playoff place. 1
