Whether those PL clubs get near Dragan’s valuation is another story.

I'd of thought there were some major concerns about spending £30m on him when he didn't exactly shine in the PL last time.

Apparently Tolaj from Plymouth is on the verge of signing for Bristol City for around £3.5 million, think we should have been all over him for that. Would be a good option to have in the squad and a good potential Stewart replacement.

Agree. Good player especially at that price.

Melayro Bogarde is one Spors likes and we scouted a couple of times last season. Knows him well from his time at Hoffenheim. Defensive midfielder so would be guessing that if he did come in he would be a Charles replacement.

Shea Charles back at Staplewood today.

Dont forget the X factor, in this case Tonda X-ert. If people are comfortable in their surroundings it may be difficult for them to leave even by the temptation of more money and a 'bigger' club.  Are there really that many better places to be than SFC right now, this group of coaches and players really seem to have developed a regimental camaraderie?

Better the devil you know?

Dragan's player valuations are maybe his polite way of saying FO to other clubs, while also creating the impression of not standing in a player's way?

Hopefully a better work ethic than his uncle Winston

What are you talking about? It's a negotiating tactic and it's the same every season.

Good to see the team coming together somewhat. Players we can be confident will be here next year as a minimum are

Peretz/Long

Bree/Roeslev Stephens/wood -Quarahie Manning/Wellington

Fellows/Matsuki Downes Bragg -

Azaz/Dobbin

Larin/-

That's already a decent team even if the worst happens and we lose most of THB, Jander, Charles, Scienza and Edozie who we will inevitably replace. My total guess is that THB, Edozie, Jander and Charles will leave and we keep hold of Scienza. That means we will need at least one CM probably two, a striker, a cb and an alternative left winger. Another five signings to go in that scenario.

Losing Scienza would no doubt be a blow but the reality is we don't need him to go up. If we were to get 30 million for him that could be put to good use. Obviously rather keep him though.

I would be astonished to see him at Spurs. But if he can get that dream transfer then fair play to him.

That's how I see it. No player is turning that down realistically. Let's hope there's nothing to it. A mid table prem side we might just be able to fend off for a season but not someone like spurs.

Regarding Sceinza is what it is, if he has alot of interest great get a bidding war going.

If it allows us to strengthen in two posting further then what's not to like....

Yeah, Spurs aren’t spending £180m and then buying a 27 year old Championship winger, however good he is.

Would like him to stay but he gets an offer of £25m or over, can see him and Saints looking at that seriously.

Can’t blame him really and although I agree that many of the links are his agent, Palace 1) need to strengthen in that area, 2) can afford it, 3) second successive season of European football where they should go deep into the competition.

I’d like a striker that can score goals, not sure that’s too much to ask 🤷🏻‍♂️

Probably, if you want strength, hold up play, movement and decent speed as well…

I am happy that we are looking at the type of strikers that will suit our style, and not players like Armstrong. Goals will come from all over the team (bar Fellows 😉) so I think other attributes are more important.

A podcast from a neutral this morning made the point that we were perhaps trying to spread the burden of goals across the team rather than relying on one individual to get 20 goals. Maybe our transfer business makes a bit more sense if you look at it like that. Having this Azon character didn't do Ipswich any real harm after all.

Very logical but I /we don’t go to matches to improve the gross profit. We go to watch the team and most of all the one player who has got a bit of magic about him. One bit of skill per match is probably enough regardless of score line. I do mnt know how many more matches I will get to see so I’m kind of greedy. I want to see what Leo can do this year. I don’t care what his transfer to those tosses in North London might facilitate in terms of new CM’s etc. Leo is a once in a long time player. A joy to watch at times. Not many of them around but if playing he’s worth the ST / home  or away ticket alone irrespective of the other 21 players.

I'd be more reassured if you could tell us he definitely isn't leaving.

I’m sure one poster on here will tell you my track record on the one player I didn’t think would leave.

But they’ll forget to tell you about the two signings that I called three weeks before they were announced. 😉😂

A winning team trumps all in the end, but I agree about having those kind of players - and hopefully we can have both next season!

I believe that if Leo is happy to stay, then he will not be sold, and we will reject all bids. But if he is angling for a move, we will probably sell him when the offer reaches a certain value.

Generous to Spurs when over the last 2 seasons they've been one place above the relegation zone!

2024/25 17th out of 20

2025/26 17th out of 20

So not just a one off season!

The money they have is the key, not league position. Which I guess was your point 😉

Indeed and given the money they are likely to spend and the manager they now have I'd be very surprised if they weren't back in their usual positions nearer the top of the table.

Not sure if I would take Ross Stewart now.

Maybe a one year deal, severely reduced terms based on his agents/conduct. 😉😂

I don’t know enough about Will Lankshear, but I’m liking what I’m reading. It wouldn’t surprise me if we’re pushing heavily for a signing of his like.

Sounds a lot more likely than Azon to me. 9 million for him after an underwhelming season doesn't make an awful lot of sense to me.

I don't know enough about Lankshear either but if we're looking at people like Azon for 9M then I'd take Stewart back like a shot.  Appreciate there will always be doubts about injuries but you know what you're getting and I still feel he has a lot to offer us.  Would also be the cheaper option.

Well I never. Exactly as I suggested with Ross.

Of course we need another striker, anyone who thinks Cyle Larin (who I really like) would play 46 games needs to give their head a wobble. I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if he does 30. Made worse of course by not having a full preseason.

Stewart's agents weren't the bad guys, the Club fucked up and demonstrated that their thoughts on Stewart were different if we got promoted, they showed no faith in him for the PL.

Hope Will is better than Olly 😉

I think that his best option and most he can hope for.... thanks to his agent. Could have had more money, perhaps an extra year subject to certain conditions....AND no medical

Ridiculous cope. He will make way more money this way.

Wouldn’t want Stewart back.  Stitched us up over a legal technicality.  If he can’t find another club and thinks he can just come back here he can fuck right off.

Fucking workshy prick.
