Hopefully he won’t play much there as Bree is main. What gave you seen or read that makes you worried I honestly have no idea if he is a good temporary replacement Plus JWP can do a job at RB too. There won't be many wingers trickier than Zaha in the Championship and he is safely in James' Pocket Saudi

Or encouraging that a mid table PL club rate him highly enough to tie him down to a long term contract. I know nothing about the kid, but we've essentially replaced THB with big Slot, and Quarshie with the bambino. It feels like people's actual issue is that we haven't upgraded Stephens. 2

Not really bothered about an option on the loan. If we go up we might be buying in a different market anyway. 2

Except that the lad is likely to be ‘Prem ready’ as he’s just signed a long contract with Villa and you can hardly say that about Stephens, Wood or Quarshie. An option to buy means we have exactly that - options, whether we go up or not.

What gave you seen or read that makes you worried I honestly have no idea if he is a good temporary replacement I watched the Man City cup semi final extended highlights again and he looked slightly uncomfortable there IMO. It was over a year ago and a very tough game considering he hadn't played for the first team, but I just thought he looked like a CB being played out of position. They trusted him, so that is a big plus, but they didn't have a lot of choice. Perhaps he has looked better in more recent games at RB...I don't know. 1

Saint Pete Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It's good work that we look like we have found homes for all of Downs, BBD and Archer, but as Stewart has gone and we chose to loan Oyekunle out as well, I cannot believe we would seriously come out of the window with only 2 specialist senior strikers. There's the obvious risk of injury to our main man in Larin, but also even if he avoids injury, playing as a target man over a long season is hard work and he is no spring chicken. He looks great at the moment but we need him to still be sharp in the depths of winter and crucially in the run in later on, and that's where you need enough decent options to come in and give him a rest. He will not and should not be starting 46 games or near that, that's for sure. Also, tactically, we may be happy playing a lone striker right now, but we surely need to have options to switch to 2 up top if plan A not working for a while? We could do that now (with no injuries) but then our first option off bench would be a youth player. Very threadbare and not really the squad you want if serious about promotion challenge. Surely Spors must have a plan?! 5

saintant Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Looks like being a boring last day of the window for us other than a few movements out to shift some of the deadwood. I suppose in some ways it's a good thing because there is no chatter about losing any of our top players.

Surely Spors must have a plan?! When Tonda nearly always plays with a single ‘specialist’ striker and we’ve brought in a supposed quality understudy to our first choice Larin, I can see why it’s unlikely that we’d bring in another striker of any pedigree to sit behind or even between those two. Once Abbott is through the door I reckon that’ll be it.

ally_uk Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Striker wise who are you going to get now ?.... Ings on a free ( Big wages, hasn't done alot lately ) Loan Daniel Jebbison, scored 6 last season for Preston, with better players 10+ could be worth a shout to rotate with Larin. Wild card: Jonah Kusi-Asare — Fulham 19 | 6'5" Preston are trying to loan him, could we beat them to him.
KingInDaSouf Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We're not bringing Ings back so please stop suggesting it. He's years passed being any use to us 4
Patches O Houlihan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I was just reminded of this lad: Sillah Dibaga, 19.5yo Aside from his 60' against Leicester back in Feb in the FA Cup has anyone seen him play recently? CHDAJFU if Scienza gets injured? Or would Dobbin definitely get the nod? Gemini suggests direct running, productive playmaker on the left wing who can stretch defences and create width. Good at crossing, quite mature and good at dealing with nerves. Who knows how accurate that is. Fans scored him 6.89 on the BBC match report - so 10th of the 17 players who made it onto the pitch including extra time. He came on for Edozie on 63'. Can I have some of what you're smoking please!
