Saint Scott Posted Friday at 21:35 Posted Friday at 21:35 Trippier supposedly signing a 2 year deal at wolves. Hell of a signing if he's still got some legs left
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted Friday at 21:54 Posted Friday at 21:54 (edited) Plenty of clubs would be interested. Not from the premier league though unless its one of the promoted ones. One less team to go after Bree! Edited Friday at 21:55 by JohnnyShearer2.0

chownie20 Posted Saturday at 06:18 Posted Saturday at 06:18 Dan Neil would make sense if Jander/Charles off. Free, only 27 etc

He did a decent job of helping Sunderland get promoted two seasons ago. So is a decent option to look at if Saints are being proactive.

He’ll be decent enough if he avoids injury but he’s 36 in September and all things considered, if you gave me a 50-50 choice right now, I’d prefer to have Bree. 13
Willo of Whiteley Posted yesterday at 08:15 Posted yesterday at 08:15 I’m surprised the released/retained list hasn’t been shared yet. Contracts expire in a month. It’ll be interesting to see if we managed to convince James Bree and Ross Stewart to sign again. 1

Really hope we can get these guys signed on. 1

sockeye Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I quite like these “A message from” videos. Can we have A Message from Daniel Peretz next? 1

Not sure that's going to happen (as much as I'd like it to), but Larin's club will surely want to sell now they're relegated, and keeping my fingers crossed for him, as he was one of the best in the division the second half of the season. 2

If our three strikers next season are Ross, Cyle and Cam again, I wouldn’t be too disappointed with that. We could possibly upgrade (or add a 4th depending on whether the Academy lads are up to covering) but Ross and Cyle suit the way we play and Cam is the quicker bench option. Ross’s injury record is the question mark but he didn’t seem to be affected by it that much last season. 2

When it didn't go perfectly, he lost his confidence, in a pressurised environment. Clean, fresh start for next season. Without AA whining in his ear too, by all accounts. 1

Ross’s injury record is the question mark but he didn’t seem to be affected by it that much last season. Obviously if we can find someone better we should, but that isn't easy at this level. With Larin and Ross both involved in the WC, you would imagine their agents will advise them to sit tight and see if a better offer arrives. A goal or two in the WC and they may get some interest. Having only one year of parachute money left will restrict what we can offer. Both are very interesting cases. Larin really isn't wanted at Mallorca, but having scored goals they wont give him away. I would imagine he wont have an issue playing for us in the championship if he is being paid decent championship wages. I always thought Stewart would get over his injury jinx, but it has to be said that after the initial error of overplaying him earlier in the season and him getting injured the club managed his time very well. Having Larin playing well enabled that. Without it, who knows what might have happened. The club will be fully aware of the availability limitations going forward, assuming he can only really play one game a week. But other than that Stewart has everything we need pace, height, goals...so its just a case of finding the same ground contract wise.
Chez Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Won't happen for multiple reasons, but I'd be testing Leicester resolve with an offer for Olabade Aluko. He looks an exciting prospect to be. Obviously everyone wants to see Bree return, but I wasn't impressed by Mads Roerslev or Elias Jelert and I've never rated Sugawara. If we can ship them out, I would. 1
Dman Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Trying to be realistic and understanding we need to move some people on, I’d like to see the window look something like this. Out Ramsdale, THB, Jander, Charles, sugawara, Diaz, Wellington, Archer, Aribo, McCarthy, smallbone, Jamie Jones, Charlie Taylor, Romeu. In / current squad (being something like this) Peretz, new, Bazunu Bree, Roerslev, Stephens, new, wood, quarshie Manning, Targett (loan) Downes, James Jordan (would probably need to be a loan), JWP (loan / cheap deal), Bragg Azaz, new Fellows, matsuki Scienza, Edozie Stewart, Larin, Downs Edited 2 hours ago by Dman

Rebel Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago with a year left on his contract I think we are more likely to see Manning leave than Welington. I can see a club like Leeds who play wingbacks signing Manning to add some cover and depth at leftback/wingback. I'd be more than happy with Targett and Welington at left back - we would be better defensively and probably just about the same if not slightly better going forwards Saying that I'd be happy if we kept both Manning and Welington and signed no one else for that position. Targett is out of contract at Newcastle - but they have an option on another year - but I think they want rid of him. So he could be available on a free. I can see him signing on permanently at Boro. But I would l would be happy to bring him home on a free - plus it would piss Boro off 🙂 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Dragan Solak has today thrown his weight behind the club and has said we’ll have a squad to give us excitement and promotion this season. Reserving judgement on this for now. But all eyes are firmly on the club. 2
