I think Marmoush will be a good signing but it'll take a long time for them to gel. Fling enough poo and some of it will stick eventually. But for a team with aspirations to get back into Europe and spending shitloads, naming Kinsky as your number one keeper is a strange move.

Yes, he’s in an offside position but it's not an offside offence. Of course the Assistant saw it but we have to accept that he knows the Laws better than any of us.

Fucking joke paying the prices they have - Tonali a £100m player is just ludicrous. Immense quality in that squad generally though with Kudus now fit as well, and Madison back. I don’t know enough about him to have confidence that De Zerbi will be a success regardless of environment though.

Law needs sorting then, as he was so offside initially it gave him the 2 yards headstart on the defence to get to the rebound. 2

Saint NL Posted Sunday at 16:49 Posted Sunday at 16:49 Ipswich just conceded the most ridiculous goal you'll ever see.... Maguire handled it and shot, it got a knick off the defender so the goal was given as an own goal so the handball didn't count. Ipswich learning that the PL is rigged 🤣 4

Because the initial shot was off target, not because it ‘got a nick’.

The only reason McGuire got a shot away was because he hand balled it. Had the shot been on target no goal because it took a deflection it was a goal. How does that make any sense? The decision to award that goal was ridiculous. Edit - OK so they just highlighted this on MOTD and confirmed that the law was followed to the letter, but as Shay Given pointed out, it didn't seem that unintentional from HM. Hands in an unnatural position and moved towards the ball. That the laws allow that goal to stand is utter nonsense. Edited 18 hours ago by Sheaf Saint 6

There’s absolutely no way a human had time to react to this into order to deliberately handle the ball. His arms were up in front of him because it looked like he was about to collide with another player. I’m not saying I agree with the rule as such but I’m not disallowing this for a deliberate handball.

And yet if that had been in the middle of the pitch and didn't lead to a shooting chance, the ref would have given a FK for an accidental handball and nobody would have any complaints. But because it created a shooting chance, it gets waved away and the goal is given. In what alternative reality does that make any sense? 2

Aren't accidental handballs given as free kicks if the player uses their arms to make their body profile unnaturally bigger?
