I honestly think if we fail to beat Huddersfield he will be gone!

That said I still want him gone

How may more matches do we need to have "where if he fails to beat...." before Les or Gao act ? I thought the Leicester match was his last chance to win a stay of execution really.

Shouldve gone weeks ago, we will beat Huddersfield and he will get another stay of execution

No doubt Les will spend the first three weeks of the transfer window trying to secure a manager, leaving the last few days for the poor sod who comes in a few days to assemble "his" squad.

He has to go as soon as the club sort his replacement out.

Hopefully, they're doing work behind the scenes now. The longer we keep MP, the longer we'll be in a relegation scrap.

I would welcome Koeman back. Bielsa is available now after failing in France. Bilic is refreshed after being fried at West Ham.

Bilic? Why?!

Just putting out who is available. There aren't many managers out there who haven't been sacked.

Moyes and Hodgson are doing well at the moment. Both have monumental failures on their CVs.

Bilic's record is pretty good. Admittedly, he wouldn't be right at the top of my list, but he is available.

Debatable. That Leicester game undid all the good imo. We need to perform against the lower clubs not just put up plucky displays v the top 6.

Yep, no good being plucky and deemed to be unlucky against the Man City's of this world if you cant follow it up with a win against a Stoke or Swansea etc

If we sack him now all we will get is Black, which with his track record (Relegation and Relegation) it will be worse.

What the "Management Team" need is somebody with a tactical understanding of the game.

When Ronald was here it was accepted that it was him brother Edwin that provided that. MP1 has his assistant (Jesus Perez) to give technical advise. Even nice Nigel used Andy Crosby for advise.

The problem for me is that MP2 has nobody in the coaching team to give advice, there seems to be a lot of "it my job to put out the cones" type of coaches.

(I wonder what they are looking at on their laptops and tablets during games, is it porn movies ? or are they logon to Saintsweb to see if the fans have any technical advice for the manager?)

Only got his word for it. Follow the link on the BBC football gossip page today, I think the article is in the Mail.

So a bloke who has been absolutely woeful for 12 months and is now being shown up by Davie Moyes, Moyes FFS, says he’s refreshed in The Daily Mail and on that basis you want to appoint him?

Pellegrino has two coaches hand picked by him to support him.

Adkins brought in Crosby, Pards brought in Wally Downes, Poch has Perez, Koeman brought in his brother, Puel brought in Planque, Strachan brought in Pendry. Basically at Saints the opportunity is there to bring in your own people to support, within a reasonable framework.

So if he doesn't have someone he trusts to give him the advise he needs then I'd say that was entirely his fault and yet another fu ck up in a management tenure strewn with fu ck ups.

In that case, Glen Hoddle

Read my post Thrush. I was listing who was available, not who I wanted.

F*cking irritating c*nt.

I do not blame MoPo Les and the board over rate players like Redmond and Forster, we can't really on them often so we play it safe alot Puel was smart to notice that but me and others blamed him for the poor results.

However MoPos biggest downfall is not starting with Austin and Gabba, we have to attack HTFC and I really hope he starts both on Saturday.

Hardly anybody voted in. I doubt that's changed.

Hardly anybody I know IRL comes on here when we lose because of the pointless negativity, so the poll is going to be hugely skewed anyway. I didn't even know there was an original poll until about two days ago!

I see Celtic lost today, perhaps Brendon might be interested. Must admit I couldn't stand him when he was at Liverpool but has to be an upgrade on what we have surely.

Agree on that. Not sure whether he would leave mid-season, especially with them in the Europa, but I would be happy with Rodgers.

Our fans are deluded. Leaving Celtic because they lost a game to come to us. Wow

He won't leave mid-season but it's hardly deluded to expect a Celtic manager to come here. In recent history we'd be the highest ranked club an ex-Celtic manager has moved to in years. Highest ranked by a mile.

2nd tier Middlesbrough (twice), Bolton and some Finland nobodies in the last decade or so.

But yeah. So deluded. Wow.

There is no more point in sacking Pellegrino than there was in sacking Puel if Old Les is still here to choose the next manager, control all transfers in and out and keep his favourites, Eric Black and Dave Watson in control of first team coaching, never mind the harm he is doing to the academy. Until Reed, Black & Watson are gone no new manager is going to be able to improve things.

He's achieved all he can ever achieve there.

We can offer more money and a return to the Premier League. He would only come at the end of the season though.

He has a reputation for attacking football and that's what we need.

To give an answer I would need to know who is available and interested in the job. Who should we hire is a more important question than whether or not we should sack Pellegrino since there is not point in getting rid of him only to bring in someone who is no better or worse.

It's like it was with Adkins, the decision to sack him may well have been taken when we had only 4 points from our first 10 games but we only actually fired him a few months later when someone we wanted was finally available, even though results had picked up by that point. If someone we want and believe to be superior to Pellegrino is available then we should get him, but until then we should hold off from pressing the panic button.

Les Reed headhunted Redmond . How can he not be responsible? Redmond is still the exact same player he was at Norwhich .

Redmond is perplexing. I thought that he had good moments and improved under Puel, but he has not flourished under Pellegrino. Too often he has a leaden first touch, which costs the team attacking possession and creates breaks for the opposing team. That was a very frustrating feature in the Chelsea game. For someone with pace, he rarely seems to show it convincingly on the pitch. He’s been very disappointing this season.
