Plus someone in this thread mentioned it too. According to Storrie, Begovic would not be allowed to join Spurs even if he didn't actually play for them. The move comes as another source involved in the attempted takeover of the club expressed his frustration at not being able to gain access to the clubs books in order to facilitate a last-ditch rescue bid. Would not be suprised if a mysterious fire engulfed the offices leaving no trace of the 'books' either that or lost in a mysterious boating accident! I suspect that they're getting them for virtually nothing any way, to pay off what Spuds are owed on Kaboul's original transfer.
