Tranny build up

Important game. Although the result against Notts County was by no means a disaster it still feels as though we need to "bounce back", as Alain Perdrix would say.

We've had a week off and we've got a week until our next match so I'm hoping for a resounding full-throttle Tranny bottom-spanking.

Sounds like Hammond is definitely still out so fingers crossed that Chaplow is fit. He really helps the strikers by making that extra presence in the oppo penalty area and obviously he'll give them (Tranny) a bit of a kick too. I want to see us give Tranny a good kick, as well as a bottom spanking.

I wonder if Dickson and Harding will both play or will Punch keep his place? Do they have a big lump that requires the services of Jaidi or will Daniel Seaborne get a run out? We will see!! :smug:

Wonder if that Skate will be in the crowd again like last year?

We're due some luck up their. Last year we were all over them when it was 1-1 until they got the penalty. And the less said about the FA Cup replay in 2001 the better. Reckon we'll do it this time though, 0-2!

I doubt the skate will be waving his flag about again after getting a slap outside the ground after the game last year.

I really hope we put on a performance would love to win there after the last two trips, hopefully we will have a decent following up there, looking forward to it.

Thought I was on the Women taking it up the gary glitter thread for a minute!!

Lets hope we see a repeat of the Oldham result - not being greedy or anything like, but receiving a text evey few mins with news of another goal would brighten up my train and bus journey to Heathrow as I head back to what is at the moment a wet and overcast Dubai

Ps We will see ;)

2-2. Think Tranmere will be well up for it. I also for some reason think away games at worse teams are more difficult on a saturday afternoon. I have no evidence to back this up and it's almost certainly bol locks.

I'm sure we'll create lots of chances, just depends if our finishing boots are on. Want to see a good performance from Puncheon.

Nah, our nemeses are small league grounds on bleak Tuesday nights in mid-winter. FACT.

We'll be fine on Saturday.

For the sake of an inch I'd much rather keep Richardson in the team, who I think is very solid, more so than Butterfield. Especially when you consider that Tranmere's main attacking threat comes from the left wing in Dale Jennings.

If Chaplow and Hammond are both injured we may see Puncheon in the middle with Harding Lb and Dickson Lm.

Every point spot-on.

Been to Tranmere twice and had two s***te trips, here's to a third time lucky. Going to be a tough game and we will miss Lallana, just depends how much. If we're as good as we think we are and serious about going up this year, we'll grind out a result. I fancy a 2-1 win, rare scoreline for us these days.

I don't believe we'd have been 3rd under Pardew. I know we'd have technically been higher without the -10, but each time they could have got into the top 6, they bottled it. The -10 was irrelevant when you're 3 or 4 points off the playoffs and have a winnable game you then fck up.

If we are to gain promotion this season this is the sort of game we need to go and win. Look at last year we went there on the Saturday and lost 3-1 Leeds went there on the Tuesday and won 4-1

All the games are important but it is vital to get back to winning ways a nice 3 points may well see us back into 2nd & keeps the pressure on Lallana will be a big miss but we should have enough I have been very impressed at our defending of late and would take a 1 or 2 nil please.

COYS lets make this our season

Probably not the sort of thing you want to let everyone know about on here! :)

Always nervous about plying Tranmere, ever since their very lucky win in the FACUP. Still it did signal the beginning of one of our best premiership run of wins. Yes, those were the days.

We were 3-0 up at half time, poor management from our manager at the time i would imagine, rather than luck.

Would like to see:-

Davis

Richardson Fonte Jaidi Dickson

AOC Schneiderlin Chaplow Puncheon

Guly Lambert

Not sure what Harding has done wrong lately. Harding at LB and Dickson at Left Mid. Punch as kit man...........where he can play in his comfort zone all neat and tidy!
